  • now you why white people suck, pat boone , ,american idol, ,gimme a break

  • I'm 19...and still firmly believe...that this is how its done... ;)

  • agreed!

  • Great stuff!

Yeah it does seem cool to see the old Tele precision bass so early--it was Modern Technology!

  • I was 16 and supposed to see Jeery Lee in Chester (England) but he was sent home in disgrace. The Treniers were the headline act instead and I have never forgotten how good they were. They sang Rockin is our business and lots of other great stuff. Wonderful memories for me now aged65.

  • My wife and I are seeing Milt Trenier(carrying the maracas in this clip) tonight, New Year's Eve, in Chicago. He is 77 and he still crushes an audience. God bless the man.

  • What song is this??

    Thanks :)

  • "What song is this??"

"Rockin' Is Our Bizness," which they'd recorded for Okeh on October 22, 1952.

  • this show was 1956-57

  • Not to be argumentative, but the beginning of the film said 1953. They were definitely the "originators" of the "swing" from swing to rock and roll!!

  • Just Great! And a fine exemple of early Rock & Roll. Thanks for showing this!

  • Fender Bass came out in 1951

  • An early champion of Fender bass was Lionel Hampton, in his very popular band during '52-'53. Lionel loved amplification (he had been one of two guys playing amplified instruments on Benny Goodman's "AC/DC Current" all the way back in 1939).

  • Great clip, though I don't know if the date is correct. 1952 was when the song was first recorded, so that works, but I thought bass guitars didn't begin to emerge until after 1953. Maybe I'm wrong?

  • the true knugs of rock and roll

  • Thanks scmm42 for the post.

  • there jamming! and the twins are very comical.

  • to see them is the best!

  • "We got Don on sax , Milt on....MARACAS?!". Fine as sin . Thank you.
