The Isle of Quel'Danas was my favourite patch of all the patches Blizzard has released; the white hawk strider was one hell of a mount. And Magister's Terrace was my favourite instance. I'd never dream of playing WoW. I miss the days of the burning crusade an awful lot. WotLK put me off.

I remeber this music when i was riding the dragonhawk to drop the bombs on the demons ,i think, also when you had to steal something from the naga :D when this isle was the core of world pvp, you had to know that if you were going there you won't know if you will finish the quests alive :D when you had to complete the daily to come back to shattrath with the scroll of teleport as a reward, when raids were made to kill a single ganker rogue :D, oh i miss this isle and BC so much :(

This was the best PvP zone that Blizzard ever created, and it wasn't even intentional. Compressing all the daily quests into one area, where you couldn't use flying mounts is what they should be repeating. I would log onto WoW back then just to go ganking with buddy.

Yeah, if there is one place I could have chosen to to dailies for ever, it would definitey be this one.

I remember TBC dailies, loving it. I mean look at it. The quests were fun, it is a beautiful green area with statues, a golden glow, blue water, intricate buildings.. and the music is fantastic.

Icecown is dull blue / grey. The music is a repetetive dun, dun dun dun, dun.... dundundun ... dun dun dun, dun, dun dun dun, dun...

Arthas was the paladin that lost his soul in Northrend, and Nerzhul was the orc spirit that lost his will when Arthas put on the helm. I do not think WotLK sucks, but it is nearly nothing comparing to TBC.

TBC had the idea and the atmosphere, and WotLK has it too, but it's more sophisticated. TBC wasn't sophisticated.

@Aulith I Disagree. I believe TBC was quite sophisticated. It was just more feel-good than WoTLK was. And there's a reason for that. WoTLK was meant to be a bit more serious, even gloomy, in comparison to TBC. BC was about magic, about hope, and about victory over demonic forces. WoTLK was about vegeance, death, and bitter sweet victories. Cata will have emphasis on the elements, and dragons, and maybe survival.

There is going to be the raid CoT War of the Ancients which is the first war with demons and nightelves. its the war deathwing got corrupted in and it ended with him destroying azshara. And cata is also supposed to be better for pvp. Most zones are gona be made pvp heavy. like ashenvale and the barrens. and Blackrock orcs are coming back into the game also.

In WotLK Blizzard left to the side a little bit the game lore of TBC, however, some of the lost lore that happend in PBC is taking it´s place back to the story, tho I hope Blizzard fix all this crap in Cataclysm. Because be fighting undeads all the time is making me get sick of ´em. ^_^

All the quests before you even hit endgame, all the levelling, was incredibly heavy with lore. There were vast storylines and arcs that followed through all the way to the very end - the most prominent being the amazing Wrath Gate sequence followed much later by Deathbringer Saurfang and Bolvar, the new Lich King.

Almost 100% of significant story happened within the raids and consisted of little more than Kael'thas shouting 'merely a setback!' We all knew it was Illidan from the cinematic, but if he wasn't in it, we would never have known. He never makes his presence known.

Icecrown has essentially replaced this place. Hella ton of dailies. I miss the island though, quests were more contained and it had an interesting feel to it- I liked how close the action was to the main base, and how it was essentially a city populated with evil. BE stuff has always felt high quality.

The way Outland and eastern kingdoms/ Kalimdor have been treated is just riddiculous

Indeed. Its sad that the highest quality content of the game is obsolete and you are forced into new content even if its not as good ie.. Lich king. Another thing that i believe had really hurt the quality of this game as a whole is the decision to replace level 60 epics with outland greens. The balance and pve and pvp is way out of way today because of that decision. Too much of an increase in scaling to fast created A LOT of balance problems.

And then all the archers would "nearly miss you" as you flew by... every time...

And then you would always forget to bomb 1 more mob - so you would have to do the whole thing again...
