  • this car is loaded for a 1948

  • push button start in 1948 !!!DAMN...

  • I HATE MANURE!!!!!!!!

  • thats nice man!

  • Sell me your Ford!!!!!!! :D

  • I always found it amusing at how older engines were so big, like a V8, but they had the power of a Smart car!

  • Seems like the car was fuelled with crack

  • how do you know this guy LOL

  • @2004chevybrandon1 is very mr. ed keller

  • im so used to hearing "and lets turn on the head lights, fog lights, and hazards"

  • Oh look at that. Push button ignition.

  • Umm Is that a White Cadillac???

  • Not if it were mine, cars are meant to be driven. Not starting it since august..... I understand not driving them in the winter, but id still be out starting it and revving it some haha...

  • Love cars of this era. Back when they were built to last forever, not now when cars are built to break after a couple years....

  • Push button ignition in a 60 year old car!

  • back when men were men and woman were woman

  • Back when America had guts and glory.

  • No matter how many decades, the color is still beaming. Nice curvy back and hoodie!

  • the engine at 06:08

  • Why it could be Greased Lightning!

  • Nice looking Saab 9000 in the background!

  • This is the Ford of your grandfather?

  • ------> 2:44 <-------

  • splendide voiture!

  • That would fail emissions right off the bat..

  • @G0Far im pretty sure they test this vehicles differently

  • "Marty, he's in a 48 Ford, we're in a DeLorean. He'd rip through us like we were tin foil."

  • @Tryvaltor great, now I have to watch all 3 movies =D

  • Did it smell like manure??

  • biff tannens car

  • GREAT JUST GREAT I WISH TO HAVE ONE LIKE THAT!!!

  • MCFLY!!!!

  • This Ford hasn't been started since August, like what Kyle said. which was like two months ago. Incredible.

  • @b67717 This video was put up in December of 2010....

  • What a beaut! There's nothing that sounds sweeter than an original Ford flat head V8; Unfortunately too many have now been replaced with small block Chevy engines ! ! ! Brings back many memories of my Uncle's '48 convertible growing up in the 50's.

  • Needs a smart key system with a Garmin GPS

  • @saabkyle04 my car hasnt been started since august and it just cranks and cranks and cranks but thats what you get with a 22 year old Pre-Series 1 3800 V6 GM engine :/ any tips I can try Kyle?

  • @ca13814 Always check fuel, spark, and timing. If you've got positive fuel pressure, and have distributor-less ignition, check your crankshaft position sensor. The 3800 absolutely will not start without it, because the fuel injection needs it to work - that's a common cause of a 3800 failing to start with spark and good fuel pressure. Those engines are very reliable, it's odd to find one in a non-running condition.

  • biffs ford in bttf ;)

  • Power steering?

  • @peetzamon Nope, no power steering on this car.

  • I heard from a restorer that those original style horn buttons are extremely rare nowadays. Or at least it's rare to find a car with the original horn button still intact.

  • Comment removed

  • does the top work

  • biff 1955

  • she is a smoker old nuff i guess

  • hey kyle, did they have power steering in this car?

  • @Bradsworld1 Nice car though a pre-war design. No way it would have power steering; even Cadillac didn't until '52.

  • @VinylToVideo so im guessing it would be REALLY hard driving this back in the day right?

  • Comment removed

  • @Bradsworld1 Maybe compared to some of today's cars but I doubt it would of been "REALLY hard" to drive or no one would have done it. People didn't drive as fast in those days and, having never driven a car without power steering, I'm guessing it's easier to turn the steering wheel when you're moving than it is when you're at a stop.

  • @VinylToVideo

I own an old truck that does not have power steering. You are right in a sense, it is difficult to turn and maneuver when at a stop or very low speed but once you hit about 6 or 7 mph, it becomes a lot easier. When moving, it feels much like a vehicle with power steering, except you can feel the road a bit more.

  • AWESOME CAR!

  • I...WANT...ONE!!!

  • Beautiful car!

  • I'm pretty Biff from back to the Future had that car but in black.

    RetroVintageItems27

  • Is that car 2 stroke or was cold out when made that video

  • Just asking but do you have like a late 70's Ford Bronco?? Thanks your vids are great keep up the good work.

  • Very nice car, congratulations :) keep it just like that ;)

  • She's smoking!

  • How much?

  • Why didn't you put down the roof?

  • In the 1980s, the movie "Back to the Future 2" was set in 2010. They had flying skateboards, shoes that tie themselves, and flying cars. It's 2011, and we have Bendaroos, Pillow Pets, and Snuggies.

  • @gab1971 Actually it was 2015

  • I have a 1946 Ford Sedan Deluxe, but with a 4.1 chevrolet engine (6 cylinder). I'm looking for a V8 for him.

  • Papa loves mambo, mama loves mambo, look at 'em sway with it, gettin' so gay with it... (obscure Back To The Future reference)

    A truly magnificent car!

  • aw, the old man is so cute :D

  • Wow! What a beauty!

  • There should be a LOVE IT button on Youtube!

  • Gotta love an old Ford flat head V8. A very subdued and unique sound.

  • haha kyle u should do the Saab in the yard. I can't tell but to me it looks like a 9000

  • It's easy to know when a flathead is running right, if a nickel can stand on edge atop the air breather then it's tuned right. Not a powerhouse, but engines don't come any smoother than a flathead V8

  • why didnt u show the engine kyle?

  • @mannie477 did you watch the video lol?! Because I definitely did!

  • @mannie477 you know how I know you're a dumbass?

  • Nice! I love old Iron! Kyle, could you please do a in depth tour of a new Ram Power Wagon? and maybe a test drive? I would appreciate it!

    Chris :)

  • very quiet engine, huh. Awesome variety of cars, bud! from a 48 ford to a 2011 aston martin! u are the man kyle ;)

  • good

  • got to love the 3 on the tree

  • i taught you ripped the driver seat when you went to the back

  • it's such a stark contrast, from the Rapide, to an old Ford like this...one is very under-engineered, and the other very over-engineered.

  • what was that button at 3:40, the original push button intelligent key?

  • this is kinda like the car your grandpa had, right?

  • what a beautiful car, love the art deco dash!

  • i wonder how much this car is worth today?

  • @TheSmartdude11 priceless

  • talk about push button start. wow since 1948.

  • @phanchochan

Well it is a choke... I'm pretty sure!!!

    RetroVintageItems27

  • @phanchochan not push button..

  • Such a beautiful car. How much money was put into this car?

  • merry almost christmas kyle and wish u a almost 2011 new year!

  • @saabkyle04 ooohh you've got a giirlfriend have you done the diiirty yett? ahah =)

  • Can u go to a honda dealership to review all of their cars

  • what a beautiful car

  • Back to Future Baby!! Hello McFly! Anybody home?

  • Hey Kyle. Just letting you know, this would be a 221cui or 239cui Flat-Head V8. Back when cars had style bro!

  • bad gas

  • I Used To Own One But, I Put It Up For Auction.. Sure Do Miss Driving An Ol' Classic... :(

  • I have a misunderstanding. I thought that original meant that it was untouched since new. You said this was all original then proceeded to say it was restored from the ground up. Can you clarify this for me? Thankyou Kyle.

  • @bimjales restored it to original specs is what I meant, a lot of the parts on the interior are original in the sense you are mentioning, but my main point was that it was not a custom street rod or anything, just like it was before, sorry for the confusion bud

  • @saabkyle04 wat a classic who owns this car do u hav

  • @saabkyle04 well be looking forward to seeing his other cars

  • @saabkyle04

    'restored to factory specifications' perhaps?

  • @bimjales i think he means all parts are original, they just have been touched-up over the years. like repainted or cleaned. stuff like that

  • Great video as always! It's beautiful!

  • Nice, but at 8:42 I thought you broke the seat there.. :o)

  • 1 person thought it said "DIS I LIKE"

  • Does this run on Leaded or Unleaded?

  • @1974Alfa5Spd you cant buy Leaded fuel anymore. It would originally run on Leaded fuel. You can run unleaded in them. wont effect to running, but over time, will damage your valves. Most would have swapped to hardened valves, or you can run a Lead substitute in them too....

  • @1974Alfa5Spd Is leaded fuel sold anymore?

  • this reminds me of the classic mafia 2 cars

  • @austinman1995 Lol I hope you're not trying to compare technology from 60 years ago till today

  • Thanks for always taking your time to show us many, of the amazing, and sometimes unique automotives.

  • nice vid but you should have done a part with the top

  • @102Help I didn't because I didn't have time to fool with it and get it down. this was the same day I was traveling to foreign cars italia, I had to drive 30-40 min back here to film this in the afternoon and 30-40 min back to film another aston and maserati, it was a busy day

  • @saabkyle04 oh ok

  • what were the sliding containers that you had some trouble opening on both sides of the dash? Were they ashtrays?

  • @Fgtguy yes they were a little stuck for not being touched in a long time

  • NC must have lenient smog check requirement.

  • @fvgotch you don't have to get things inspected that I believe are over 25 years old

  • @saabkyle04 Oh that's right! Forgot about it, cool.

  • @fvgotch Yessir!

  • this is definitely going on the dvd your making for your grandpa

  • Hey Kyle, I'd relay appreciated if you could do a review of a Riced up car. Thanks :D

  • @thatpartylastnigh look up 2000 honda civic si on the channel LOL ;)

  • At times i didn't even realise the engine was on

  • @reddevil1134rs you and me both!

  • @reddevil1134rs I see why you say that it is a very quiet car as kyle said in the video

  • Did it pass the emissions test?

  • @freddiemercury777778 no tests for vehicles over 25 years old lol, nothing back then will pass todays stuff

  • @saabkyle04 i live in ohio and a few years back they cancelled emissions testing. that last year we took my moms old 76 ford gran torino to b tested and it passed with a better score than my dads 99 chevy silverado. idk how diferent ohio n north carolina r on their emissions tests but its possible! lol and great vid!

  • @stephenthabeast Oh wow! Guess that's true then haha, who woulda thought, thanks a lot bud!

  • @stephenthabeast You had to e-test cars that old??? Here in SW Ontario Canada we have to e-test cars '87 up. '87 down are exempt..lol Glad they cancelled it for yahs...we still have to ..... damn its all a scam

  • @strumem90 this happened back in 2001, which was that cars last year for testing. it beat out my dads truck whiich was 2 years old at the time. it was all original except for a rebuilt engine.

  • Lovely car! I bet the exhaust was very rich! It sounded quieter than a lot of modern day cars! Thanks for the great vid again!

  • @6ixthAxis you could barely hear that baby running, I have so much respect for classics, some people just can't appreciate fine classic engineering!

  • 1 Person must be a newbe to your channel

WHOO DISLIKES A CAR LIKE THIS?

  • Whos Car?

  • They had pushbutton start in 1948.. And we barely have that nowadays.. lol

  • @Pendragon1989 Yep, pretty amazing!

  • @Pendragon1989 Either the "pushbutton" or the "key-fob presence" are today's starting-procedures of choice. What goes around, comes around!

  • @Jakeman2164 DUDE THATS A GREAT IDEA HOPE HE READS YOUR COMMENT!

  • i would drive this to school and around east L.A!

  • @702xRyder that would be epic!

  • @saabkyle04 xD

  • any car will last a lifetime if you take care of it. Unlike some woman i saw hitting her engine with a hammer- anger management!

  • Not my style of car at all. Good videography, but just too old.

  • A smoker :P

  • Dude I have always dreamed about driving an old car. You're so lucky Kyle. Good Job!!

  • @datpimpinboy thanks a lot bro!

  • what about the hazards? they don't work or it doesn't has?

  • Comment removed

  • Kyle how the heck did you find this guy?

  • @Friendly0Dan my girlfriend found the 76 eldo and met him that way, pretty lucky if I do say do!

  • 1 of my favorite oldies convertibles. When I first saw this Black convertible from the 1st Back to the Future movie with the red interior ( Young Biff's Car ), thought it was the coolest looking 1. & I was like 5 Y/o when I first saw it.

  • a frend of my have a 42 chevy de luxe,. looks like this ford,.even then the compatition between ford and chevy was there LOL

  • Comment removed

  • I like old cars, but this one is a bit too old for me lol

  • who is that old guy is he ur grandpa

  • @R8RFanSam no no, just a collector I met when I videoed the 76 eldorado

  • beautiful car, they dont make em like they used to

  • I like how the seats fold because I was in a parade in an '89 mustang convertible and I had to jump out of the back because the seat wouldn't fold good

  • Awesome video Kyle! You are my favorite YouTuber. Always finding great cars, especially classic ones. My cousin's family owns an old 50's Hot Rod with Cherry Red paint. Love to see older cars on YouTube:D

    -LK97

  • wow!!!!! :-) looks like you are getting more classics

  • @bigb9854 Trying to all the time! ;)

  • i want to ask you do you have a web site of your car dealership?

  • @v21496v Yep it's my dad's place, just search auto trader for car connections, inc in reidsville, nc

  • So nice to one that is well cared for. Puts a smile on my face. Very nice video!

  • Love those flatheads they are so quiet.

  • 3 speed on the tree and 110hp may not sound like much, but hey cars had to start somewhere. These cars are rare and a treasure.
