to be honest squall doesn't die really,in the last scene you could see rinoa sort ofrevived him.......wierd i now but in an interview with ff8's director he said that squall does live so there you have it.

I believe squall does infact die, and during the fmv at the final credits he is just a figment of rinoa's imagination? When they were being filmed on the camcorder, why wasn't squall in it when he and rinoa were standing right near eachother at the end credits?

I think squall did die after the ultimecia battle and that the end credits is actually Rinoa's memory of him.

That was with out a doubt the greatest video I have seen on the love in final fantasy VIII.... I wish I could own it. Final Fantasy VIII is by far my favorite FF (I'v played them all) And it's mainly do to the love story. You captured the essence of that love wonderfully!

It had a good storyline, but what I did not like about the gameplay was that you had to draw magic to use magic, as well as the junctioned magic defines your stats. So if you junctioned ultima, you are prevented to use ultima, because it would decrease your stats
