  • Sinatra sang, Darin performed....that was the difference, simply put! Both great in their own way...but you realy can NOT compare these two talents : ) I loved Bobby Darin`s energy, dance, comedy...he was just a AMAZING stage performer/entertainer!!

  • @50zatB

    Yeah , ABSOLUTELY .

  • I am so in love with Bobby Darin, I can't stand it. Why can't we go back to then?!?!

  • When Bobby was on stage no one could take their eyes off him, that's for sure! I don't have the adequate words to describe this amazing man.

  • Svar på denne video ...

  • Gives me chills everytime I hear this version by Bobby D. One of the best entertainers ever.

  • What a sad world we live in now, where real performers like Bobby Darin don't exist, only Justin Bieber-things.

  • Bobby Darin one of the world's GREATEST entertainers of ALL TIME...This song is a perfect example... The man can sing... The man can dance... Overall what a performance.. Timeless.........................

  • i love this version, magnifico

  • Great Man And the best singer and entertainer, the best performance i will ever seen. All i can say is Bobby was class

  • Pure Classic......I love it!

  • the most under-rated allrounder of all time!

  • i liked this song so much that i went out and bought the video. the best performance i have seen.

  • He's squeaked into the first few seconds: "I wanna *touch* you so much" - that's not the proper lyric. Wicked!

  • Bobby D..the BEST !!!!! oh so sexy, soulful, swinging, deep, his voice/phrasing....everything going on....PLUS HE COULD REALLY DANCE...like a precursor to Michael J...did you see his moves on this video...GOD he was a UBER talent and BIG SOUL/HEART...left way too soon...so tragic...WHAT HE LEFT BEHIND IN THOSE 37 years...unbelievable !!!

  • Can we all just agree that they were both rock stars in nice suits? Both kicked ass, Sinatra literally, Darin, vocally.

  • Why does either one have to be better than or not as good as the other? Both were great. Sinatra could make any song his own just by singing it in a way no one else could. That's exactly what Bobby did with Mack The Knife, which had been recorded several times before he did it, against the advice of his manager.

  • Class

  • @UBET10 :) You mean when being an artist really MEANT that s/he WAS an artist!! He was one terrific artist and all around great guy.

  • If we are strictly keeping a ledger about who does what, Sinatra (with his Oscar, no less) really takes a back seat to no one. A more pertinent comparison might be between Darin and Sammy Davis Jr. In any event, please dont get the wrong idea about me. As far as Im concerned, Bobby totally rocks and is one of the best performers of all time.

  • There was none of the eventual decline in ability or appearance that every performer who lives a normal life-span has to contend with. This does not even take into account the unenviable task of having re-invent yourself, which even Darin had to dabble in towards the end of his short life. And finally, while probably no one has a better reputation as a night-club singer than Darin, he never achieved the fame in films (musical or otherwise) that Sinatra did and that Darin so desired.

  • heartfelt emotion and certainly did not "swing' in the manner that we have become so accustomed to through performers like of Presley, Darin, Bennett, etc. No one less than Bob Dylan referred to Sinatra as the first male performer to "sing without a mask." Without Frank, there probably is no Darin (at least in the area of Pop, non-rock music). Also keep in mind that due to his terribly untimely death the tender age of 37, we only have images of Bobby as a young, swinging artist. (Cont.)

  • Comparisons to Sinatra are inevitable, but to state that Bobby is "better than Sinatra, obvious" is actually taking part in a debate that doesn't really exist. Bobby was fantastic, and yes, a complete artist who had his hand in both the composing and musical instrument arenas. But they are different kind of performers. Sinatra DEFINED and practically INVENTED the art of the solo singer. Prior to his arrival in the late 30's and early 40's, mainstream male singers rarely sang with (cont.)

  • love this music

  • whoa Bobby is da man

  • He was songwriter, singer, showman, instrumentist, artist of movies, in the midst of other things. A complete artist. Better than Sinatra, obvious.

  • your right in every way but ima huge sinatra fan so that last part cut me deep

  • It's only my opinion. Sorry.

    Greetings

  • <3 *sigh*

  • damn he was sexy

  • The fucking BOSS. :D!!! awsome

  • This is from that time when singers were real good at their trade.... their art.

    We still miss Bobby.

  • I've never heard him sing this song before - it's brilliant - all the classic Bobby Darin trademark singing. He obviously copied Sinatra in this style (one of many) but I have always thought that he was better than Sinatra for two reasons -

    He's a better entertainer.

He understands the blues much more than Sinatra - maybe this had something to do with his rock 'n' roll stuff but you can see it in this video - the way he sings the blue 3rd in a way that Sinatra never could.

  • but Sinatra it's just too good to be compared whit anyone

  • Brilliant is the word.

The difference between Sinatra and Bobby is that the Mafia made Sinatra get out of bed and ordered him to sing in the clubs, while Bobby Darin loved singing. This is obvious. He also wrote beautiful songs. From his heart, I guess.Which finally gave way to death at an early age.

  • "Put it right back on the money," INDEED. The master. Love it.

    Carol

  • There is no song Bobby can't sing lol

  • is this recorded from the mack is back dvd?

  • No, it is Aces Back To Back.

  • lo que tengo a decir es que el gran BOBBY DARIN es MARAVILLOSO!!! desde brazil, gracias por el video.\\\\\\\\thanks again!!!

  • What a class act ! ....... serioulsy stylish.

  • Love that Bobby! Thanks so much.

  • He makes me feel good.

  • next to beyond the sea this has to be my favorite bobby song!

  • You can see why Frank Sinatra thought so much of the man. Great singer.

  • Loved the verses, loved the jazz and the dancing, chorus dispointed a bit , not a fast enough tempo

  • I love this song... his performance is my favorite :)

  • I simply love this performance!!!

  • I do too!! As I said before, nobody ever did this song better! I love how he ends it with the "No way" thrown in.

  • @bobbyfan64 Frank Sinatra meets Jackie Wilson. Boy had Soul.

  • yes

  • Nobody did it better!!!
