  • @SiKxBlAzEr if you want clean sound at higher volume, go for a twin reverb.

  • That tone made my day! I reckon the dynamics meant you could play that tone really hard and get some of the best breakup ever!

  • could you connect a small cab to this to get even louder?

  • @44eelz adding cabs, speakers, etc barely increases volume. It increases the perceived volume and the amount of air you move but hardly the DB level. IMO the amp isn't that loud but an SM57 and a PA system does wonders.

  • These are great videos. The only problem is that it is impossible to read the setting numbers on the amp. Any chance you can share them with us? Thanks!

  • the pickups on the american standard tele are just strat pickups. they need put alnico 3 magnets and the zinc r copper bottom plate on the bridge pick up... thats what made a tele pick up a tele pickup. other than that the american standard tele is awesome. but please fender get the pickups right. know your roots.

  • sooo sick OMG i love it

  • the whole wattage debate in guitar amps is kind of bogus - I've played a gig with a 4 watt amp miced in a 5 piece band, and it sounded fantastic.

  • god i love that sound!

  • do I see 2 mikes (a sennhieser 421) and another one miking the amp ? .....anyone know for sure ?

  • Shaneis a fantstic guitar player, 100% american sound.

    Have him any recorcords publicates?

  • Great sound and funny table!

  • dude, the table the amp is sitting on is a large strat head stock

  • I wish I had a Strat Headstock Table...

  • For small clubs it's fine, for bigger, it makes sense sonically and monetarily to just mic it. (Why pay for a hundred watt stack when an SM58 will do the trick?)

  • headroom, but I agree this amp is one of the best amps(the original ones from 65)

  • I had the printed circuit board removed and replaced with a hand-wired hoffman board, replaced all the transformers with Mercury Magnetics, JJ tubes, and put in a Weber speaker. My amp is LOUD and very, very clear. I just put an overdrive pedal in front of it when I want some dirt in the sound.

  • Where can I get one of those Fender head stock tables??.

  • to play jazz live do you think this amp would suffice at only 25W? im thinking of getting the super reverb

  • First off, it's 22 watts. It depends on the size of the gig. If it's a fairly small gig, sure... but anything relatively substantial, with a drummer, other guitarist, brass band, etc., you'll need to mic it.

  • does anyone who has this amp know if its loud enough to play in a live band setup?

  • yeah i played one at the music store yesterday and at 3 1/2 it was almost loud enough to play live. fender amps are LOUD!

  • oh hell yes... the 22 watt rating is a misnomer. It is as loud as a 40w Blues Deluxe or 3/4 as loud as a 85w Twin Reverb (I have all 3). The beauty of a Deluxe is you can crank it to the sweet spot (4.5-7 on volume) and it be enough volume for anything you want to do. It really doesnt get louder after that, just more intense.

  • Depends on your style, but,

Oh Yes, it is loud enough.

22 watts of pure fender tube power

    are good for small clubs.

    I have a 72 Silverface and play it on max 2 1/2,

I use a preamp to get the distortion sound....

  • he makes a funny face at the end of the video :). hey though, hes a really great player.

  • All these clips sound really mudy to me. I have this amp, and these vids don't do it justice.

  • Awesome they fixed the delay issue! Thanks Fender.

  • pleace review fender champ' 600 too dude

  • that was awesome

  • hmmm.

  • Excelent Sound.
