I like the idea, people should never stop thinking, tinkering... but I don't see a practical application for this... what makes it better than conventional rollerblades? wheels that size on the outside limit tricking as well, and how would you grind?
That's what I thought too. Although, I guess rubber wheels filled with air have an advantage over plastic wheels. (Gravel areas would seem less bumpy.)
Okay, carbon fiber will mean no one can own a pair unless they shell out $5,000 USDollars! A typical bicycle made of carbon fiber costs somewhere between 1,$200 and $5,000! FIVE GRAND, that is 'Chariot Skates' pricing themselves straight into bankruptcy with the economy the way it is, and RollerBlade is laughing all the way to the bank.
I dont no, i think they look kinda cool as they are. If they just do a bit of testing with people wearing baggy trousers or whatever, im sure they would soon find out if its a problem or not. If theres no problem, then leave them as it is!
nice idea, looks fast but a bit stupid and dangerouse at the same time, what if someone had baggy trowsers and they got caught in the wheel whilst on the road. It would mean only riding in spandex if that suites you sir.
not bad, but the large wheels rubs the knees...

isn't that the same thing as rollerblades...just with one big wheel instead of multiple wheels?

What is the point? What can these do that rollerblades can't? I.e. why spend a shitload of money on a fancy pair of rollerblades?

They should fill the wheel to avoid this problem.
