It's even worse to demonize the poor. I don't know how many times I've been accused of being on food stamps, lazy- whatever here on Youtube. I've held a full time job almost every day of my life, bought a house, & paid a larger percentage of taxes than those who can afford their own accountants & loopholes, & it has been fairly painless, but I also have been afforded the benefit of enjoying my work, which is its own reward as well. No problem with inheritance here just don't call it "hard work".

Well I worked factory jobs during the summers in college and many people didn't work very hard. This isn't they point though a doctor, lawyer, or good CEO has skills in higher demand than a garbage man. I could do garbage mans job even if he works hard he couldn't do my job. Try not to generalize as it leaves you looking quite ignorant to those who know anybody who breaks your steriotypes. I myself live in a middle class family but I do know a family that is upper class. And not only was hard work put into earning every single cent, but the hard work and stress continues today. Not all wealthy people inherit their money, and even if that do, it doesn't mean they don't work hard to hold an upkeep.

@13j07o92 Like the 9% unemployment, and the trillions he has increased spending and the stimulus which spent more money on pig odor research in Iowa than it did stimulate anything. Also remembering that in the Same amount of time as president Reagan took a 10% unemployment to 6% and obama has taken an 8% unemployment to 9%. As for those new fighter jets it cost about half as much to operate them than it does say F-16s, so in the long run would end up saving money. The facts disagree with you.

That always seems to be a missed point when people are touting the benefits of capitalism - Most people are unaware that capital gains taxes top out at like 15% while the rest of us who actually do the work have to cough up 35% or better.

Do you understand what capital gains tax is? Most people who pay do work or are retired. The vast majority of people who have capital gains earned the capital by working. They did pay income taxes. By the way that capital is used to create jobs.

What you're missing is that the vast majority of those paying capital gains do work they also payed 35% or better. Its not as if people paying capital gains don't work or didn't work very hard. What i am getting at is capital gains is similar to a double tax. Its too high we shouldn't have it at all.

oh, don't get me wrong, i am not spending like i would, i am taking a friend and her daughter to disney this summer, but not gonna pop for the high priced hotel, saving a little. but i am buying a second truck this year, for personal use, and light work use. i don't want the government to take more of my money, cause if i can be debit free, then i may start to hire employees. but atleast you are working to be debit free, too many people want the government to make them debit free.

oh, i think the auto should have given some help(cause the banks would not loan like they used to) but if now toyota and nissan are losing sales, that shows the whole suv/truck issue was not right on. but what bugs me about the auto bailout, the government allowed japan companys not only to import, but build here in the state, but yet very few of our cars, are allowed in japan. so, i feel the government is kind of the reason that auto makers here needed some help. epa needs to lighten up too.

great point, but when i hear where is my money, that sounds like a handout. asfar as layoffs, coprate greed, my mom has now to do 2 peoples job, but the ceo of her company just bought a new bentley. but i also look at the governemt that way, we are hurting, but they want to increase taxes on things we buy. why don't they take a cut aswell. governement makes people put out thier hands, saying i make too much, so they have to take some of my money, to give it to people.

yeah, there should be accountility. but the government is never held accountable. case in point, auto makes are blasted for flying to washington, but congress o.k.s banks to fly the planes they own now, just can't buy new ones. if you wan't to see the money, just look at all the fed. programs, cause the fed has gotten too big, and oversteped states rights. look everytime the government bails out someone, tell a company how to run, our market tanks. keep them out of it, it does good.

I truly believe that if the government were to "bail out" the average income citizens; I.E. their debt, then we would boost the economy. Simply by being able to buy things without needing to worry about our current debts.(case in point, stimulus checks were used to pay debts or saved)
It sounds like socialism but it would work and it wouldn't be nearly as costly as these huge amounts they throw out to big businesses. And no one says it would need to happen ever again. Make it a one shot deal.
