Bloody mix and match things... alltough viking and celt culture is quite intertwined its not the same... dependeing if you mean to predate late 800th century. and bloody horned helmets everywhere... that's just stupid
@Himotary them who often are in asatro or have some kind of viking thing or a necle so get them classed as Racis cuz adolf hitler used the viking mark often on vheicle and ari craftcarrier
@LittleNegrillio Actually the vikings were destroyed by their becoming traders and taking on Christianity so as to fit in better. However, their are those of us who still follow the all Father and the old ones.
Most of them r extremely ugly and unprofesionally done, 1:50 is a rip of Ken Kelly's painting ( the one who paints for ManOwaR - related to the one and only Frank Frazetta ). I strongly believe that if one is willing to become a tatooist he/she must first paractise on paper, then on leather or smth, before making suck shitty art for life-long :)
Only if 99% of these people did their research. Viings never had horns on their helmets. Im not knocking on the video dont get me wrong the tattos are awsome.
I have a tattoo of Odin the Viking god of War and Death on my left arm. resently got it done a week ago. came out pretty sick.
its a bit annoying when they picture vikings with horn on their heads, its just some random person that found it funny or something and now its everywhere. They had "regular" helmets.
thanks for time spent making vid. lol, i was listening, watching, wondering where i had heard great tune before. it was originally on black sabbath's tyr album. these guys do a fair and true to form copy here. again, thanks for time spent making vid, keep the faith alive, To Victory or Valhalla!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the Vikings, these hammers, these faces Viking those terms are all impressive. I recently hize Celtic cross tattoos so you can see Viking plug,
@klasomentas The majority are were from Denmark and Norway. Iceland and Greenland were settlements founded by Vikings hailing from Norway. The vikings reach stretched from Noth America, to Russia, to Spain, and into the mediterranian.
@Viktir666 Sweden had less raiding/conquest activity than Norway and Denmark, though they did travel to Russia and the surrounding area via the Baltic and establish a number of settlements. However, Sweden was more into crap-tastic disco and shitty furniture than battle.
@TwistedPoliticians Hmm.....you seem to have a crappy attitude towards Swedes. I'm just curious.......have you ever been to Sweden? You might just change your opinion if you were to ever check it out. We are from Gotland, Sweden. The largest island in the Baltic. It is also the island with the largest hordes of Viking raids in the world. The most beautifully preserved Rune Stones in the world as well. Real Vikings??? You may just change your mind.
@steverid Honestly, I have nothing against Swedes. My cousin spent the last 5+ years living there, and many of my close friends are swedish. However, I am a history major, with an emphasis on the vikings, their origins, trade, conquest, etc. And when you say the the largest hordes of viking raids, do you mean raiders or those people who had their lands/belongings plundered? If you are tlaking about the coins and artifacts found there, then you are mistaken, as those have been attributed to traders.
@TwistedPoliticians I was a history major as well. Gotland was basically the Swedish vikings' "home base" so to speak. Visby, the Hanseatic trading village during those times was of course the center of all trade throughout the Baltic. Yes, many coins etc... have been found there from all over the world. But every year some small farmer plowing his property will find an actual horde/cache. All over the island
@TwistedPoliticians as well there are burial grounds of Swedish vikings. Öland is the island next door to Gotland & they have found numerous caches of plunder as well. Have you ever checked out Uppsala just above Stockholm? There are 3 huge burial mounds to Swedish viking Kings and at the foot of one of the mounds is the Viking museum. The museum is absolutely educating. If you ever get an opportunity to travel there, you should, especially if you are a History major. When you touch a piece
@TwistedPoliticians of actual Viking artifact from that country & not just from a photograph in a textbook it truly is something special. The Swedes "contribution" so to speak to Viking history & culture cannot be disputed. I have nothing but the utmost admiration of my forefathers. Also, the geographic boundaries during that time frame were pretty blurry & interchangeable so it's hard to say who was Danish/Swedish/Norwegian etc... All Scandinavian blood is intermixed with other Scan peoples.
@steverid They weren't blurry, but changed periodically due to warfare between the different nations. But the Scandinavian line most likely started in Norway, with people settling in what is now southern Norway in 8000BCE.
the viking did NOT have horns on there helmets however they did commonly make the sounds of animals in battle including bulls,so it is easy to see why other cultures would think they were devils and depict them with horns, the only culture that really EVER wore horns were the Early period Celts and only in religious ceremonies and were normally deer or stag antlers
its a shitty myth from France. they thought the vikings were devils and had horns, it was how they were drawn in books but priests. i like the idea of horns though.
