The clothes were NOT purchased by Sarah. Aides to the campaign ect bought them and they were not her style or size and they even tore tags off them so she would NOT KNOW the cost of them. She would not HAVE TAKEN ANY OF THEM had she known...and they KNEW that. !!!! 1. the Palin's aren't "rich" like most national pols and are in fact average people.

2. they didn't have the income to buy a wardrobe appropriate for a VP candidate.
