  • Can we store it in Fridge and for how long period..please reply

  • @asifminhas75

You can store in the refrigerator for 3 days.

    Thank you for your question!

  • thank you very much

  • Those cheap tomatoes are grown in California not in Italy!!!

  • You didn't need the butter or the onions, but you came very close to what the authentic marinara sauce really is.

P.S. The onions together with the garlic cancel each other out in the recipe!

  • Hi Michael, just wanted to say thanks for these inspiring videos and delicious recipes you prepare! There is something soothing in the way you explain, easy to follow, without the extra fuss and complicated methods you always deliver the best recipes videos on YouTube! My boyfriend who didn't know anything about cooking got inspired by your videos and started with this simple recipe and it was great. :)

  • @Anukis18

You have just given me one of the BEST comments EVER, thank you so much!

  • ON WAT HEAT LEVEL SHOULD I KEEP THIS :s

  • @griderable

Electric stove on medium, except when cooking the garlic... do the garlic on low to medium low.

  • this is exactly wat i do awsome

  • @griderable

    Thanks!

  • @freitasex If i use 1/4 cup of minced onion will it taste different if i didn't use the shallot instead??

  • @BlackSkullz09

Well yes, but not that much of a difference.

You will be quite happy with onion.

    Thank you for your question!

  • what cookware do you use? it looks like allclad?

  • @frankie2234

    You are correct, AllClad.

  • is this pasta sauce spicyy?

  • @1994Magpie

No, not spicy... you can add hot spice if you like, thanks!

  • aww darn, thought this was called "Easy marijuana Pasta Sauce" still, a great recipe!

  • I'm thinking some Mozzarella cheese sticks with this.

  • Great recipe!

  • Love your channel! I used to make everything from scratch but I just don't have the time to anymore. Your recipes are quick AND tasty. Thank you for taking the time to share them- it is appreciated!

  • @aquia80

    Thank you VERY much!

  • excellent...!!!

  • @ltkman

    Thank you Kai :)

  • this brand is the USA secret restaurant brand (remove spaces), but they are not generally able to buy: stanislausfoodproducts. com/products/ real-italian-products /from-scratch-products#74

  • Looks awesome! I make a home made spaghetti sauce from scratch when I make spaghetti. It's a meat sauce...and I have a guideline I go by depending on how much I want to make...but it's usually done to taste each time, so I really have no exact measurements. I also like mine a little sweet. Seems the sugar cuts down some of the acidity of the tomatoes.

Great job and thanks for sharing!!!

    mike

  • @macaronipop

    Thank you :)

  • Go with fresh basil if you can, torn up and thrown in near the end of cooking.

  • this tasted great thanks!!!

  • Excellent recipe!!! Thanks!!

  • Now that looked good so I will be trying it this week oh I must say also that I love your channel!

  • @depuyt1

    Thank you very much!

  • how do you think the shallots taste as compared w/ onions for this? sometimes i make homemade sauce, but i too like jarred sauces except for prego brand (too sweet for me). also, those are not the authentic san marzano tomatoes -- theyre a USA product. the real san marzano are italian

  • I know what I'm having Monday.

  • @murphj4

    Thanks!

  • Yeah, I like sauce from the jars too. Only thing is the msg, sometimes. grr. But this is a great recipe I think!

  • @HomemadeCafe

    Thank you Leann :)

  • I've watched virtually every one of your recipes and I must say...You da' man!! I'd eat 90% of what you prepare; it all looks fantastic!! Thanks for all these great recipes and ideas!!

I'll bet this sauce would work nicely on a home-made pizza!

  • @Movickrox

    Thank you very very much!

I do agree that some recipes are better than others.

  • i'm italian an in our culture we consider food very important, my nonna and mum both still make there own sauce, but for my self personally 1 who has the time 2 i think pre jarred sauce tastes pretty good! great vid,

  • @chrissiemoda

You read the video description :)

Thank you and I of course agree with you!

  • Oh man, San Marzano canned tomatoes, you sir know your shit. Hard to find those puppies where I live, thankfully Amazon sells them (at a ludicrous markup but hey what can you do).

  • @VoidOnTuesday

lol, those tomatoes were over $5

I live in Evansville IN... a small town and the next town has this tiny Italian Market and they sell some stuff that is difficult to find... Thanks!

  • so do you start the butter/onions on low-med heat? i'm always afraid of burning my butter.

  • @dboyzero

    The heat was around medium.

I rent an apartment and it has an electric stove/oven.

Different stove produce different heat, you have to watch your food and stove temperature until you get used to how hot your stovetop gets etc.

I have burned butter before, we all do :)

  • I absolutely love your videos!

I'm sure your family is grateful for your wonderful food!

  • @candiicheesecake

    You just made me *smile*

    Thank you :)

  • @freitasex No problem! Once I'm old enough, I'm gonna try your recipies! Keep up the amazing videos!

  • I was wondering why this marinara is different from your spaghetti and meatballs sauce?

  • @exracon

This is my quick and simple version, that is why.

    Thank you for your question!

  • mmmm I love marinara sauce

  • @noangel1987

    I love you Angel :)

  • mmmm looks delicious. I love pasta sauces thanks for showing us how easy it is to make your own! :)

  • @Fatesworld

You are welcome... I do think that the ones you buy in the store in glass jars are very very good also.

  • thank you for the info..i'll use this for sure...thumbs up!!!

  • @HALLSYSKITCHEN

You are the nicest person, thank you!

  • Oooh, yummy. I'm pretty sure I could smell it from here. So simple yet a wonderfully complex combination of flavors. Thank you!

  • @thizizliz

lol, you can't smell that :)

  • @freitasex Basil, butter, tomato, shallot. Mmmmmmm

  • Good job as usual. Simple and quick.

Just watched a vid of Chef Todd Mohr's, quick shrimp pizza. He just puts diced tomatoes on a prepackaged pizza dough--no onion, salt, olive oil. Awful. Either take a bit of time to make your own as you have done here, or use storebought sauce, which I agree with you is quite good.

  • @ndktube

    You just made me *smile*

    Thank you!

  • looks very nice :)

  • @NanevicJr

    Thank you!

  • @freitasex Can you suggest a way to turn this into a meat sauce, please?

  • @Memekiller666

Will, take one pound of ground beef or ground turkey or ground pork and cook up in your pot for a few minutes till done.

Then empty and drain your pot, then proceed from the start of this video with the butter and continue.

    Thank you for your question!
