Comet Elenin is a Hyperbolic comet. The reason why it is called this is, because it does not come from the Oort cloud. @MusicMan208DT No that was caused by 3 solar flares that erupted a week ago. The storm came to an end today but 3 days ago it was bad. The magnetosphere was hit with such force that the satellites in geosynchronous orbit were nearly exposed outside of Earths protective bubble. I'm sure some damage was done but it hasn't trickled out yet. Elenin was not in an alignment nor could it have had any influence on these 3 flares. We saw them coming days away with an uptick on the solar disk.

It doesn't take a physicist to use a telescope but it takes more than an observer to be able to supply some of the information people expect should come with each clip. @webber1966 When you look at a 2D view of the orbit it looks like Earth may run into the tail. But that's false, because Elenin will be above Earth. So even if it has a huge tail it wont impact Earth. I just want to know why THREE major earthquakes occured when Elenin, Earth, and the Sun were aligned. I find this statistically improbable. I don't know what to think. The facts are telling me its just a comet, but my mind and gut is telling me something bad is going to happen.

Simply explained, their is no way to "accumulate" as charge in space other than streams from the Sun, so if anything it would be dead and gather a charge at the Sun. @MusicMan208DT No that was caused by 3 solar flares that erupted a week ago. The storm came to an end today but 3 days ago it was bad. The magnetosphere was hit with such force that the satellites in geosynchronous orbit were nearly exposed outside of Earths protective bubble. I'm sure some damage was done but it hasn't trickled out yet. Elenin was not in an alignment nor could it have had any influence on these 3 flares. We saw them coming days away with an uptick on the solar disk.

Comets leave a trail of dust no matter where they are in their orbit, but the ice only becomes gaseous upon arrival at the Sun. Secondly, where do you propose this charge comes from in space? If anything the charge would come from the Sun since space is a vacuum with no particles for the surface to interact with. But the Sun has many types of radiation that could give a charge. No charge, dont worry

It doesn't take a physicist to use a telescope but it takes more than an observer to be able to supply some of the information people expect should come with each clip. I wish I could give everyone the answers they wanted or expected. I doubt I've been able to to either. @offenwrong I will say that when looking at the pictures the way the software lets me change all the views makes for a great result. As an artist it is very exciting to see. Although I think to myself sometimes I'm changing how it really looks.... or am I? I don't change anything "in" the photo, just the contrast type. SO... if I see horns then I cannot deny that. My understanding is that the this comet is unpredictable because it comes along at the same time as a brown dwarf with 9 'satellites/planets.' One of those planets is going to come between us and the sun and black out the sun for 3 days. An event such as this has been recorded in history appx every 3600 yrs and has Biblical support also. Sept. 25 through the end of the month are the specific days to watch. Although it speeds up as it comes through and is on its own time schedule.

@HatakiSagara All the hype about this comet is that its going to pass really close to Earth and the planet will move through the tail of the comet or the debris tail.Also this is not the only comet coming at this time,theres also comet Honda ,and comet Levy passing at the same time.If they get the tradgectory wrong by just a bit ,or the gravitational pull is off just a bit in their calculations, it really could hit us.

@webber1966 When you look at a 2D view of the orbit it looks like Earth may run into the tail. But that's false, because Elenin will be above Earth. So even if it has a huge tail it wont impact Earth. I just want to know why THREE major earthquakes occured when Elenin, Earth, and the Sun were aligned. I find this statistically improbable. I don't know what to think. The facts are telling me its just a comet, but my mind and gut is telling me something bad is going to happen.
