My latest flights have put this first one to shame. It is much more stable and the brushless motor and getting rid of the mechanical mixer was the best thing I have done.. I will have the wife take a better video from the outside to show just what this ECO 8 is like in a hover.
Using a hacked CVS video camera. It is a lot smoother now with the brushless motor. Will post another one maybe tomorrow ? The battery for the helicopter is only a 2400 Nicad. And only last about 3-4 minutes. Later will get a 4500 Nicad. Also i have made a camera mount for the front secured by tie straps. Use to be a large blade holder.
Nice job!! what kind of camera are you using and how is it recording? Just trying to figure out how i can put a camera on my heli, Search Raptor 60 . its the one with the rotopod on it and i'm in the middle of the street I'm wearing a blue shirt.

Yeah, but a single rubber band on the front allows the camera to vibrate. I have a different mount now. And will try it out in a few weeks

Great! Proves that it flies even with an Ikarus mixer. The vid has some moments - good job.
