I think it is important for Australians to remember which land they are native to. Here I am refering to the white northern European Australians of course, from Britain. I think a small token Union Jack in the corner of their flag isn't all that much to ask. Age is not a criterion for dismissing a particular mode of government. Even if that were the case, a republic could be dismissed just as easily because the idea of a republic has existed for millennia. The monarchy is superior because it is less costly and more efficient.
