New iMac display issues

I have a 2011 21.5 imac lion hooked up to my lg led tv...works fine until the computer goes to sleep and then I attempt to wake it up...the iMac turns back on however my tv now says it's not receiving signal so no picture is displayed...it works "sometimes" when I unplug or power cycle. anyone having these issues or knows how to resolve please!!!

I've got one 21.5inch for 1.5year now,first there was a small dark spots on top left corner and now it doesn't really display proper colors - it's full of lines going vertically and missing colors-all this after I gave it to the service here(europe) and they say me that they cannot do anything...plus issue with dvd recorder (I have to put blank cd or dvd from 1-20 times until it reads) .cost of repair 1000$.I'.m pist.any help??

I have this problem for quite sometime. The Top right hand corner has a grey streak,and it spreads across the screen. The aluminium surround gets hotter than my radiators. I have contacted Apple on 4 occasions each time it has been sent away and had the screen replaced 4 Times! YES 4 Times. Even a spokesperson agreed with me,and said i would seek legal advice. Now these people that show you how to remove dust,or in any way,tamper with the computer screen,you are breaking the warranty!

my mac is a 24inch, it was the very last type of 24 inch they made. which makes it very similar to the new 27 inch. I've had it less than 6 months and because I've been traveling have only used it for two months. Last night as I discovered horizontal line on my screen almost identical in appearance to the one you showed just then on your video. I was hoped with some rest the problem would have resolved itself but in the morning but it was still there. a big disappointment.

I have new 21.5" NVidia. It had Yellow Tinge on bottom of screen & Screen Flicker. On Apple Discussions over 220 Pages of a Post for Flicker. People getting 3-4 bad replacements in a row. Sometimes having other issues like Screen High Pitched Whistle, Loud Hard Drives & Fans, etc...

I got my core i7 and had dust plus finger prints behind the screen. I went twice to the Apple Store and they couldn't get rid of the dust. However, they cleaned up the finger prints BUT made it worse by adding new (behind the screen) patches. I called AppleCare and they're going to ship a new one. Once they had opened the screen it is more likely to have issues. I really hope the next one is doing better...

That line looks like the panel was subjected to stress whilst being put together and damaged the pixels along that vertical. I've seen that on quite a few flat panel displays before, it's not just an Apple issue. Naturally it'll get more press because it's Apple, because we all know that problems don't exist unless it's Apple (look how overblown this smoking thing has become from TWO users being refused service). I'd actually question the motives of PC World putting that on display tbh.

I have the same model iMac as you do and i have had my screen replaced twice and i only have my iMac since October last year. Just as you explained vertical and horizontal lines. When i took it to be repaired the guy told me he couldn't see anything. It is really obvious depending on the wallpaper.
