No, it doesn't work on Rumor 2, or either I couldn't figure it out. You only get the, Downloaded Ringers, Voice Memo, Other Ringers, and No Ringers option and no option to set anything from the memory card.

The file is most likely a copy-right protected one (iTunes), so you're going to want to get a program to de-protect it!

you can actually just import the song into windows movie maker (xp and vista both have it) to save it as a .wmv file. but you still need the 3gp converter

Hey thanks for the great guide. I'm in Canada with SOLO mobile (a division of Bell) and have the rumour. I've managed to follow the guide and get the 3G2 files onto my micro SD and into the phone, however when I go into photo album and choose the video and pick "assign" it doesnt give an option to have it go caller ID/no ID instead it automatically just assigns it as my screensaver... quite annoying. I'm able to have photo's assigned to calls, but not video's for some reason.

I think Im putting it in the wrong spot. The phone autocreated a folder called DCIM on the microSD. Ive tried putting the files in that folder & when I go to the My albums in the ringtone selection it says there is no files on my memory card. I have also placed them directly to the card & had the same issue. I also tried the DCLM100 folder you mentioned & a folder called DCIM100. Had to make both & it still tells me there is no files on my card. Any ideas?

I figured it out. It was such a new phone that I didnt have all the folders needed. Before you go to move the files in, take a picture on your phone. Doesnt matter what it is of. It will auto-create the folder with the 100 in the file name. Then you can move your ringtones over and delete your picture.

1st DOWNLOAD & CONVERT a 15-30 second MP3. convert it to WMV files with a program called DIGITAL MEDIA CONVERTER Google it and download. you can do multiple files at one time.

2nd CONVERT the WMV files with a program called Xilisoft 3GP video converter, make sure you have the program convert to GP2.

3rd copy the GP2 files to the memory cards video folder and put them into your phone.

Use Audacity if you want to make your own MP3 clips. HIGHLIGHT and cut and save to a new file.
