i just got the game today, and no, for everyone, you can pick the weapons you take into the mission with, you are issued different kinds for diffferent missions. but you CAN pick up Axis weapons, but not fallen american soldiers guns. i found that crappy, BTW, the ps3 graphics arnt as good as the youtube videos, and it was dissapointing. i hope they fix a fir bit in the first patch, as gameplay is frightfully hardcore the first time you play it!

depends what you like more, singleplayer campaign, or multiplayer.... becuase if MP is what your after then this game isnt for you. also, notice how the graphics of the ps3 version look very bright on youtube? and kinda look well presented... well, it may just be my plasma, but theres a weird texture over the characters faces in the cinematic and i have NFI how to change it, or fix it, so the cinematic is deffinatly a let down...... :(

but the action gameplay is exciting on hardcore!

I think in a since you can. I think you will be issued the standard M1 grand or Carbine. It will be like you find a Thompson from some dead guy and you keep it and hold it until the next mission. But i could be completely wrong. hope it helps you.

It would be cool to have a rpg/relationship development system mod for your squad. Currently, it looks like your squad is a somewhat "inhuman super-squad" already, ie. responds so effeciently and inititiavely knows what Baker's thinking. But i guess that's what BIA's about especially in the sequel (since you always keep your characters/heroes). Can't wait to play this in authentic and see how the German forces match up as well.
