david is a true legend, who always goes one step further, saw him just befor chistmas 2011 on his bike in new york city, how brave or mad is that two ride a bike in new york .
Watching the Y@H vid and heard "Road to Nowhere" and thought that DB must have collaborated, and sho nuff he never disappoints, love DB and SM, props to You Tube. Need more love like this in this world.
Steve Martin is so inspiring! He's living proof that age isn't about the number... it's what's in your heart that counts. He also sounds a LOT like Roy Orbison when he sings this song, IMO... and that ain't too shabby a comparison.
this is sooo cute! i'm so jealous of those old farts! dang. i hope they realize that's a 'once in a lifetime' kinda thing. btw- in sms movie, during heaven, where is the female vocalist?
Unfortunately this is not correct. The song was released 4 months before the night club opened. I clearly remember David saying something like "apparently there IS a bar in London called heaven... I might have gone there". What it says on Wikipedia at the bottom is not correct. It's an urban myth. I've been to Heaven and lots of stuff happened! :-D They had face painting and jewellery stalls INSIDE the club and giant paper mache fish hanging from the cieling. (I'm not gay and am a huge TH fan)
Those are not the facts. Chris [Frantz] says "A lot of prople don't know this but Heaven is actually a huge gay night club in London... and it's owned by RICHARD BRANSON" he puts emphasis on the name because Richard was particularly famous when the comentary was recorded. Virgin bought the club a long time after the song was made and the song was made 4 months before the club existed! Tina doesn't mention it and Chris doesn't say that the song was written about the club. Those are the facts.
Thank you for sharing! It's so wonderful to be able to see David Byrne collaborating with a group like Young At Heart. Glad to see that there is humanity in the rock and roll world! Young At Heart rocks!
oh man, what a cool song! as always, Young@Heart nails is vocally, and Steve Martin's lead part is not an easy piece at all. these guys are really talented, and classy to boot.
Thought that it was the comedian Steve Martin that would be in the video, but this Steve Martin's MUCH better. He's a really good singer, and his voice is actually not that far from David Byrne's voice. Certainly an awesome version of the song. :)
This is the way it should be, our elderly being admired and respected for the vast talents they have and the experiences they bring; instead of being judged by their outer frailties. ROCK ON PEOPLE

love it! Steve's voice is so well suited to this song. Wish they'd left David off the stage, it interrupts the flow of the song...

Wow! I'm impressed. They really nailed the song; and such an appropriate song. Listen to the whole thing, as David gets up and duets at the end.
