I do not know if many people are aware of this, but they finished the story in Book form, the first book is called "Welcome to Promise City" written by greg cox, the second book is called "Promises Broken," written by David mack,

as with the other fans the cancellation saddened me as well, but it seems to the be the way with well thought out inspiring and deep tv shows.. they must be cancelled to make room for more dancing with the stars :(

The 4400 is best sci-fi show since The X Files. I love it so much - unique storyline, brilliant acting, great visual effects, great everything. I miss this beautiful show. They shouldn't cancel it. Jacqueline McKenzie, Joel Gretsch, Patrick Flueger, Kavan Smith, Karina Lombard, Laura Allen, Richard Kahan, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, Conchita Campbell, Samatha Ferris did a brilliant job.

To all the people asking why they canceled it, it was because the Writers Guild of America went on strike and as such it became too expensive to keep the cast paid during the strike without anything being produced.

Too bad. The last episode I saw ended with some guy asking if I'd like a shot of Promicin. Kind of neat ending, but I understand it went on after that and ended inconclusively.
