@TW15T3DBU113T have you run into a war? u are the dickhead bitch! this video is a tutorial basic of computers... not of war or anything like it! u dumbass sonabitch
Vmware fusion should be installed first as it will actually walk you through the windows install. However, if your going to use it on a bootcamp partition then you can go ahead and install windows through bootcamp and VM ware will pick it up automatically.
If you used boot camp before and have windows still installed, after installation of WMware fusion it will automatically recognize windows OS installed on the partition of the HDD and will allow you to load it from the other partition to the virtual machine. That's what I heard in all the reviews and stuff for VMware fusion 2.0, didn't try it out but I'm almost sure it does.
hey soldier im wanting to try out the 30 day trail but i have a question will this effect bootcamp will i still be able to use bootcamp after the trail is over? great vids keep it up thx
hey dude you can actually download it for mac now but it isnt on the google site just type in google chrome for mac download because its even faster you just gotta find the right one
can you have bootcamp and vusion so say if u want to run windows from the start you can do that....but if you want to switch to os x you can also do that?
There is a software called CrossOver that let you insall windows softwares on mac without having to use a virtualmachine. The installation process is not very fluence though, but it's also a good consideration for using windows app on osx.
Awesome video! I'm trying to get my mom to get us a macbook as our "family computer"..but she is scared of swtiching over the macs because she doesn't know much about comps. With this program, it might change her mind!
sorry for asking does VMWARE or VPC changes your partiion table and causes datalosing? i share my computer with my brothers and sisters, so i need my harddisk intact!:)
I think showing the installation will be more helpful. Everyone can always figure out how to use this setup. please create a new video showing the installation. Good job.
when im in Unity mode if i were to minimize a windows app the app would disappear. in order for me to maximize the app again i have to exit unity. is their a fix or way around this?
I have just ordered a new Macbook Pro - and it will be my first Mac after using Windows my whole life (2 decades of "contact your administrator" error messages eventually got to me). I can't wait! Your videos are excellent and have been very helpful to me. Keep it up.
i think it might be annoying for window users if they want to use window in bootcamp and they have to restart everytime on their mac just to use the windows. I think parallel, fusion or other software that able to use window is better than bootcamp. (in my opinion).
Windows is just as capable of doing all this if it weren't for Apple's ULA stating that OSX is only to be installed on an Apple product. I mean it doesn't stop you from doing so. But Apple is extremely greedy. They like to brag about how Mac's can run Windows. But don't allow PC users to run OSX even though they can. And people think microsoft is bad for that? OSX is a solid OS. But I don't like Apple.
Microsoft sucks!!!, windows is less stable than os x.
I have been a windows costumer for years I switched about a year ago to mac and I love it!!! I love Apple!!!
and yes i now what you think (that I'm a mac fan boy....)
and its true.
but apple rocks and Apple is not greedy they are just trying to keep there perfect os with no bugs etc... (if os x will support pc it would cost apple a lot to make drivers for all that hardware out on the PC market....).
but I'm not a fanboy of either windows or OS X. I have two PC's and a Mac. They're all great. But yes, windows definitely has issues more then my Mac does. But apple doesn't have to do anything to support PC. They only have to let the companies making the hardware allowed to make drivers to support OS X. Apple doesn't allow that. So it's Apple's fault that OS X can't run on any PC.
And the only expense for Apple would be some people would build them self an OS X machine instead of buying an Apple. But over all. I'm a gamer. So PC is the only way to go when it comes to gaming. I don't think OS X supports CrossfireX. Which allows me to use 4 monitors while running CrossfireX(unlike SLI). Correct me if I'm wrong. But I can certainly understand why you like your Mac so much.
with a mac pro you can use up to 8 monitors if you'll add a total of 4 GPU'S but I do agree that pc is better for games.
I'm a gamer ass well ass a software programmer and a web designer and I use my mac pro for programing and other creative stuff but for gaming I have a PC:
core 2 quad 6600 2.4ghz
9800x2 with 1024mb
8GB of ram
vista ultimate 64bit
and i have more problems with my "super" pc than my mac....
It's always pissed me off the Mac users get the use of all or most of Microsofts products including Windows, but all PC users get is iTunes an Safari. And we get slap on the wrist if we even try to get any Apple OS on a PC.
well first off Microsoft is just a software company, they don't make hardware, they Have their software installed in any OEM out there like DELL, HP, SONY. Apple sells hardware so why would they want their OS on a pc. Microsoft doesn't care is an apple machine could run windows or any other microsoft program they are making money. If you want Apple software you have to buy a mac. If Microsoft mad computer they would do the same thing too, you have t buy there hardware to have windows.
Just run Boot Camp Assistant again and select "create or remove Boot Camp partition" (maybe it's called a little bit different in english), it will expand your Mac partition to the whole HDD. yes
boot camp comes pre-installed with every mac. although you would have to boot to an os natively (upon start up) when using bootcamp
vmware/ parallels allow to start-up windows without restarting your mac

SoldierKnowsBest is FUSION better than parallels? please advice.

Just run Boot Camp Assistant again and select "create or remove Boot Camp partition" (maybe it's called a little bit different in english), it will expand your Mac partition to the whole HDD. Unfortunately it apparently sometimes didn't delete the MBR on my machine. So it still always tried to boot into Windows.
