This is their masterpiece, they made alot of songs but none that displayed all of their talents as well as this song, from , the drumming, the guitar, the bass, and of course perrys lsd induced lyrics and absolutely incredible voice, it really is a timeless masterpiece.
So emotionally provoking and electrically soulful. Man, i love those guys!!! I would to see them again one day!!! :) Thanks for posting. THe sound quality is great. :)
i really missed the delay that perry used in this era during the ninja tour. it just made the sound so huge and powerful with his beautiful echo of sonic wonder on top of all the music. his voice is not good enough any more to go without it
before i die , I'd like to hear my favorite songs like then she did.
When i listen to the ritual version, the guitar intro sounds like a piano. But only as the guitar fades in. Thank you dave for some beautiful guitar work.
Just saw them in pittsburgh. I was in the pit-5 feet from the stage and 5 feet from Dave and Perry. Watched Dave sit on the edge of the stage 4 feet from me and play Jane Says. Perry was more or less talking to us and singing. Can't describe it. When Eric opened up the bassline for Whores...all I can tell everyone is that it gave me goosebumps. And...they played Then She Did. It was incredible. The whole show. Of course. (No pun intended).
Wish I could have seen them then. I saw them in Chicago in 2002 when they got back together. Going to see them in Kansas City this year, May 27th 2009. Can't wait. Always will be one of my favorite bands.
I'm hoping to see them in Pittsburgh. Long story short, I had tix to the first Lollapalooza, and didn't go (i was 16) because I couldn't get the day off of work...(kicking myself still). They broke up before I ever got a chance to see them. Been waiting for this for a decade and a half or so...
First discovered Jane's around 1989. I was 15. In my opinion, the greatest band in the last 20 years; just unparalleled genius. As good of a live band as there ever was. This song might be my favorite all time.
Insane! These guys r like a authentic hybrid of Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd!!Very powerful stuff!!Jane's The Great!!
