  • excellent work. nice bit of history portrayed in a retro way. thanks!

  • @Quasimodo1957 Thanks!

  • ask us if we care.

  • if you disinfo fuckfaces go after these cartoons and try to fuck with them i swear to GOD i will devote the rest of my life to re-posting them EVERYWHERE ON THE NET AND IF THAT DOESN'T WORK I'LL PASS THEM ON TO EVERYONE I KNOW WHO GOES ONLINE AND I WILL PAY THEM TO DO IT so... kindly leave us to die in our own way - laughing at you. it's the least you could do.

  • Out of the mouth of babes.....

  • Love a good satire.

  • HA HA, I just noticed the video time limit 4:19.... Anyone got a minute?

  • Eh, the vid is funny even though it's clearly biased.

  • The logic is slightly flawed, but the heart is near the right place.

  • @BugsWisely -- What's the slight flaw in the logic? Looks pretty accurate to me.

  • @multigilligman Ask Cheney Soprano what really happened on 9/11 - after all, he was running the show.

  • Great job! Thanks for posting.

  • /watch?v=fy3KDYE5KQE

  • Ron Paul is the only one saying all this stuff

  • IRAN IS NOT IRAQ. THE TITLE IS WRONG

  • @sdabestani As I have explained numerous times below, this was not my original title, this was the title that the person who stole this from me gave it. To foil her plot, I had to take the same name. Now it is known by this name, so I can't change it.

  • This is fuckin lame! Ya know if you really wanted to ad any validity to this crap you shoulda cut out the foul language and added some witty jokes, but I digress, this is just some liberals recounting of how it went down in thier eyes. Pitty, if only someone out there could give an unbiased telling of what really happened insted of just spewing out opinion.

  • @multigilligman It's stupid Republican fools like you that has gotten our country in the terrible, greed-run shape it's in! Try updating your "knowledge" while leaving your "football mentality" in a dark hole someplace!

  • @multigilligman No it is a factual account of how it went down.

  • @multigilligman Apparently you are not someone.

  • This is freakin' great! All true too!

  • you are gay fucks.

  • @bathwhoreE This video was done by one person. You are a dumbass.

  • "We did not, repeat did not, trade arms for hostages." - Ronald Reagan

  • @AtlasShruggery "I have no knowledge of Fast and Furious". -Barry Satore A.K.A. Barack Hussein Obama.

This isn't the first A.K.A. you have spoken for. Saul the sex slave trader Rothstein, Rob the Voter Fraud Wexler. Debbie Was-a-man Schultz ask her about writing prescription for drugs? It is okay if your a Doctor but not a Lawyer.

  • @AtlasShruggery Not that he remembers.

  • awesome

  • Not bad grouchobeer. But you kinda took the humor out of it. A tad too political. Maybe throw in some witty jokes.

  • Politics aside, I am furious with the impression of Peabody!!!

  • he he -- i love that story

  • The pilot has admitted to it and he was arrested on other charges of misuse and misappropriation of government properties, misuse of government jets, and misuse of government purchase orders for purchase of fuel.

  • So Bush was a member of the Democratic Carter Administrarion while he was running for VP on the Republican ticket ? I like to see more on this, where did you get your information?

  • @fredsezz Briefly. GHWB was appointed to head the CIA by Gerald Ford, and Carter fired him when he took office. I am actually old enough to remember this, but a quick Google search will give you more info.

  • @grouchobeer So Carter fired him. How could he secure the release of the hostages if he wasn't in the government?

  • @fredsezz He negotiated directly with the Iranian government.

  • @grouchobeer So Carter allowed Geroge Bush to negotiate with Iran behind his back? While Bush was running against the Carter ticket? Is this part of the Bush secret SR-71 flight ?

  • @fredsezz No, Carter did not allow GHWB to negotiate. Presumably, Carter knew nothing at the time. Yes, this is part of the secret SR-71 flight.

  • @grouchobeer SR-71's never fly without direct permission from the President. Carter would have to grant permission for the flight and Bush would need to have a custom built suit, even if he were just a passenger. Your story is pure crap.

  • @grouchobeer Not approving my last comment was no surprise to me. Censorship is a wonderful weapon for those who wish to misinform others, wouldn't you agree? Have fun leading the sheep.

  • @fredsezz Geez, lighten up, you only made it thirteen hours ago. I do sometimes have other things to do than constantly check for comments on YouTube.

  • @grouchobeer So do I. That is why I haven't checked it in several days. You were able to approve my other comments much quicker, which is one of the reasons I find your objective suspect.

  • @fredsezz Look at some of the other comments here. Does it look like I'm stifling dissenting views? The only comments I don't approve are those that attribute this video to the person who stole this from me (who is no longer on Youtube because of plagiarism).

  • to even know who these two are,, completely dates us .

clever and mostly true but it was and is not just about oil

and they did not know that saddam would go nutcase

he never got the WMDs any way ..... we hope

never di really trust bush but at least he did not try to destroy the USA

from within like ol' BHO commie/Soros puppet

  • to even know who these two are,, completely dates us .

what happened to our country did we blink ?

  • For those who don't know...........Sherman and Mr. Peabody were part of the Rocky and Bullwinkle show. This is an awesome video. Funny that you have to put it in cartoon form to get we baby boomers to give up the peace signs and relate to what's happening behind the scenes.

  • @sumweiroytthair Thanks!

  • @sumweiroytthair

I will not agree with putting down peace signs. I think it is good to recognize that "we" our government is involved in the destruction of our democracy.

  • Wow....I never would have expected such a wonderfully enlightened history lesson from one of my childhood Saturday morning favorites! More cartoons today need to teach these kids AND ADULTS real world information in an elightening, non political and entertaining way--instead of dumbing us down with sexualized, graphically and verbally violent B.S! Thanks for posting!

  • @mslegacy01 Thanks!

  • I agree

  • Blowback is real and understandable. Meddling in international political spheres that are not our sovereign territory will always cause bad/ill will toward us. Blowback is simply the natural result of meddling in essentially what are private affairs and this includes domestic taxing and regulating policy as well as empire building. Empire building is international collectivism and domestic meddling is domestic collectivism. Freedom has no greater natural predator than gov't run by corrupt men!

  • @nalejbank True dat.

  • Operation Ajax ...if you would like to know the truth do your own research, Google-search "Operation Ajax" or "CIA 1953" and learn for yourself if this video is accurate or not!

  • Some leftist LIAR uses a cartoon, to ply leftist revisionist history.

The real cartoon had more truth in it, than this leftist pack of lies.

  • @sirjames45 ...and Fascism's words ring out again...

  • @sirjames45 The fact is the UK and USA overthrew a democratically elected government in Iran because they were going to nationalise the oil companies and due to that now Iran is a theocratic shit hole of a country.

  • the ayatollah is the assahola.

  • did they really swear like this in the real show?

  • @icecat47 No, it was a kids show.

  • Great video!! :-)

  • @TheHabsfan1993 Thanks!

  • Who would believe anything on wipideafalse.

  • nicely done in terms of splicing together old Peabody and Sherman cartoons to fit the subject matter up to and including the closing pun.....sadly the historical effect of interfering in the politics and policy of other sovereign nations (whether it's the US or another country doing it) continues to be tragedy, poverty, hatred and re-re-re-re-re-taliation

  • No attempt at humor at all....as history it's baloney on so many levels....the Shah died in Egypt during the hostage criisis, and the hostages werent released until 6 months later...jimmy carter was defeated for reelection because we had double digit inflation, double digit interest rates & 7% unemployment....if anything, the hostage crisis helped carter, as it boosted his standing in early 1980, and allowed him to avoid debates w/ sen. ted kennedy, who was leading in pre-crisis polls

  • @abcbatman1966 You don't know what you are talking about

  • Talk about a load of dog shit!

  • @koachkenny yes Koachkenny you are a load of dog shit!

  • And comments requiring approval demonstrate a lack of willingness to discuss other pointed of view. Closed debate is no debate.

  • @thedeadcatinthebox As I have explained several times below, this video was stolen from me, and after I got the offender banned from YT, his alts kept attacking me. That is why I have the comments setting to "Approve". There is no political agenda.

  • @grouchobeer ok so you explained the reason for not letting comments in but how do you explain all the historical inaccuracies? My other comment is still valid. There is enough truth in there to make it look reasonable when in fact it's ripe with lies and fabrication.. Bush didn't negotiate the hostage exchange, Carter did a lot himself. They were released as Reagan took the oath of office. Bush left the CIA in 77, before the hostage crisis. CIA didn't install Hussein. and much much more errors.

  • So much of this is off its not even funny. It's mixed with just enough facts to masque as legitimate.

  • @thedeadcatinthebox It is spot on actually. Don't get mad because someone knows and has exposed the truth.

  • GO ON LEFTIES SEE IF YOU CAN FIX THE STINKING MIDDELEAST THEN

  • @godblessthebest Just mad because someone posted the TRUTH. What a communist, you would rather keep the truth hidden.

  • Quiet, you.

  • thanks for the short history lesson

  • @crazyunclerex59 You're welcome!

  • Wikipedia is junk they didn't even know the Rock Island Rail Road is now Maytag Corp. that merged with Whirlpool Corp. Easy internet search with wrong answer. Maytag V. Navistar 7th district court of appeals No. 75 B 2697 Charles P. Kocoras, judge. Argued June 5, 2000 decided June 27, 2000.

  • Wikipedia is junk they didn't even know the Rock Island Rail Road is now Maytag Corp. that merged with Whirlpool Corp. Easy internet search with wrong answer.

  • This is thoroughly enjoyable and reminds people that everyone in the government is out for society's best interests.

  • @nopainogain and if you'll by that, I've got some property in Colorado right on the shore of the Indian Ocean that I'd like to sell you.

  • I miss Rocky and Bullwinkle.

  • What is going on with YouTube? They seem to be censoring comments.

  • I have to say, I really enjoyed your dubbing of an old-time classic cartoon and I agree with the criticism of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' policy the U.S. has employed for too long in third world countries. However, if you remember, the U.S. backed the Mujahideen in Afghanistan against the Soviet Army, not the Taliban. The Taliban came out of Pakistan and drove the Mujahideen out shortly after the Soviet Army left. The Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 1996, I believe.

  • @sarkelcpa You are correct, sir.

There is no censorship of comments, they just have to be approved first because I had a lot of spammers.

  • @grouchobeer Actually, it's ma'am.

  • @sarkelcpa: Uh no.

The taliban were home grown militia from Southern Afghanistan that were supported by pakistan.

  • HISTORY OF IRAN DAMMIT

and why is an iranian wearing arab garb

  • @beachjuicetice As I have explained elsewhere, this video, originally called "Dubya's Improbable History" was stolen from me and given the present clunky title. As part of my plan to defeat the plagiarist, I had to adopt the name of the video.

This is repurposed footage from the series and I could find no turbaned characters to represent Khomeini.

  • I fucking hate how whenever someone brings a Wikipedia source against them, they discredit it and act like they're idiots. EVERY site is editable by the creators, AND Wikipedia has cited sources that you could look up if you weren't a total lazy jackass, so why is Wikipedia different?

Oh wait, it isn't. You're merely saying it's not credible because it's used against you.

  • just think had you not used bad language we could have shared this... thanks for cussing at my kid/// its stuff like this that make those who help.. part of the problem

  • We shouldn't be isolationist but I think it was shortsighted of us to back al-Qaida in the 80s. The enemy of your enemy is not necessarily your friend.

  • great stuff.

  • GOOD GRIEF

  • There is no greater lie than a half truth. This video is full to the max of half truths. If some tribal leader with a funny hat living in Outer Upchuckistan installs himself as a permenent leader and child fornicator, there is no doubt that the same shithead who dubbed the audio over this clasic cartoon, will blame Donald Rumsfeld, George W. Bush, oil, the Catholic Church and Born Again Christians.

Now, jackass, go do a video about how Sarah Palin blew up the World Trade Center on Sept. 11.

  • @SteveLLW

Once upon a time;.America was revered in the Middle East. So, what the Hell happened? Let's see

    1. We "America" did help to install a Jewish State smack dab in the Middle East. If the Israelis couldn't do it on their own, then they didn't deserve it.

    2. We "Americans" like to broker Arms, Oil, and Food deals with dictators and despots.

    3. We "The CIA" did disrupt the Iran Gov't and installed the Shaw. Iran's oil belonged to IRAN. Not OPEC.

    There are always Consequences.

  • :::APPLAUDE:::  priceless..

  • The Taliban didnt exist until after the Soviet exit. Muhammad Omar didnt have any political following until after 1990.

  • @SpreadingtheMuse I tried to post that the U.S. sent aid to the Mujahideen and not the Taliban but was prevented from posting it. Who knows why.

  • rofl

  • @gamewizard: Incorrect. The debt/GDP ratio was dropping from 1987 on, which means that growth outstripped debt. Following the 1984 tax bill, the country embarked on an era of growth that lasted through Clinton's 8 years. And Clinton's "surplus" (which didn't include social security obligations) was in part due to the peace dividend and halving the size of the US armed forces, and in part due to having inherited a strongly growing economy.

  • WABAC not WayBack

  • @tertommy Yes, WABAC was the name of the time machine. As I've explained elsewhere many times, this video was pirated from me and renamed. Part of my strategy for defeating the pirate was to take the name that he gave it.

  • This is great, An up-dated Peabody & Sherman, how cool. I remember watching then back in the early sixties, there was always a lesson to be learned. True genius, very well done, thank you.

  • @modmikeie Thanks.

  • gigerbread is food some things are no not an well when ceo have child labor an chemical enforcement you never will best this old king on new years , they addicted no can do the labor skill same as elder master makers still war has been long use math of science to hide whom did what or whom was whom , sad when take fly 600 to 800 you ww2 history lie reteller child of your elder then i , still , news persons did a lot of drugs force on others an money, history ? known by gov no same as some tell

  • Whale Oil Beef Hucked!!!

  • Lol Peabody was the owner of the barn where Marty crashed into in Back to The Future.

  • WIKIPEDIA =/= FACT

  • I love how everybody runs to wikipedia to figure out what the fuck is going on, then runs right back here to argue about shit they read 5 minutes ago. Trust wikipedia about as much as you should trust Fox "news" and the mainstream media people - none at all.

  • @kvetonp Thanks for the subscribe!

  • @grouchobeer No,thank YOU for such an incredible and hilarious video.

  • This is genius. And truth.

  • You did a great job and it was funny!

  • This video grew on me somewhere in the vicinity of "What kind of venal, greedy, dumbass, short-sighted, bottom-feeding piece of camel shit would sell WMD to a murderous despot like Saddam Hussein?"

Fav'd. Thank you, grouchobeer; you have a way with high-pitched words.

  • @VysetheTard Thanks!

  • Revisionist History and parity does not make this correct. Hmmm... did anyone do research before thinking this might not be totally together. Dems love to spin everything. And as for Fox News.... better than the yellow crap the dem/liberal reporters are putting out there in their very very partial rep and agenda. Educate yourself first before believing something in a video like this. Just cuz the profs in college tell you its true does not make it true - Its their opinion and that's that.

  • I like the comment in the video "America's policy is...The enemy of your enemy must be your friend" ...how true

  • @floydturbo2 Thanks!

  • Thank God Peabody was smarter then this dipshit!!

  • Thanks, grouch. Educational, entertaining, and the debate...hilarious!

  • Very well done! Thanks for posting this!

  • @dcs002 Thanks.

  • @dcs002 Thanks!

  • @dcs002 a little weak on it's historic accuracy.

  • @ john clipper41 "That is not very nice" and "bad language" shut up and go drive your kids to soccer and practice and vote for Sarah Palin, you bitch.

  • what a rip-off

  • @johna166 What did you pay to get in, sir?

  • @grouchobeer

His time. But seriously, this video was friggin' awesome.

  • that is not very nice

  • bad language

  • Kids should be watching this, because the crap they are taught in school about US History is full of lies and distortions. The Bush Crime Family has been trying to sell out the United States since Prescott Bush tried to overthrow FDR in favor of Nazi Germany.

And Jeb Bush is going to be President in 2012.

Strap on your hats, because here we go again folks.

  • @shpilk - he'd have to be 1,000 times better than Obama!

  • I love the intellectual conversation this cartoon has elicited. Unfortunately, the cast of characters in this unceasing, melodramatic, and constantly unwinding cluster fuck are all idiots. I think we should nuke the whole area and start over again. Yes, I know all you liberal, "progressives" out there will be outraged by such an extreme response but, to paraphrase Otto von Bismarck, one American soldier is not worth the effort put into this stupid war in both Afghanistan and Iraq!

  • @chuckbuckbobuck I'm a liberal, and you're unimportant, just like the rest of us. Why should I be outraged by what you say?

  • Haha the ending is priceless :)

  • @ddnguyen278 Thanks!

  • This video is factually incorrect. Read wikipedia entry on 1953 coup in Iran. FDR's son did engineer a coup to overthrow Mossadegh (who was PM, not President). But US did NOT install Shah, who had been in power since 1941. Shah may have been cruel, but not worse than his successors.

US did not sell WMD to Iraq. It sold less arms to Iraq than Denmark.

Do not let the charm of this cartoon fool you into believing it. Nothing justifies the 30+ year war Iran has waged against the US.

  • @XxShaym1nxX "factually incorrect. Read wikipedia entry on 1953 coup in Iran"? You mean the entry that Wikipedia tagged thusly:

" * Its neutrality is disputed. Tagged since January 2010. * Its factual accuracy is disputed. Tagged since March 2010. * It may contain inappropriate or misinterpreted citations which do not verify the text. Tagged since April 2010. * It may require general cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. Tagged since March 2010."

    That entry?

  • @grouchobeer OK, that entry says, "The crushing of Iran's first democratically elected government launched 25 years of dictatorship under Mohammad-Rezā Shāh Pahlavi." Secondly, Kermit Roosevelt (Jr.) was NOT FDR's son, but TR's grandson, as I stated. Thirdly, that the U.S. provided Iraq w/chemical and biological weapons is a matter of public record and not open for dispute.

  • @grouchobeer Fourthly, I never said the Shah was crueler than his successors or that Iran's "30+ year war" was justified. My point is, if we had just left well enough alone, none of this shit would have happened.

And the moral of our story is, "People who live in glass houses should jerk off in the basement."

  • @XxShaym1nxX The Shah who was on the throne since 1941 was the FATHER of Reza Pahlavi, who overthrew the old man in 1953, and transformed the post of Shah from constitutional monarch with no real power to absolute dictator.

Donalr RMEFsfeld did not actually provide Saddam Hussein with WMD, merely with the technology to develop them. Whole different thing, y'know.

  • @doctorpsycho1960 As for your first comment, that is exactly what I say in the movie.

As for your second comment, Rummy sold Saddam poison gas, which Saddam used on the Kurds. This is a matter of historical record.

  • Yea right we prospered under Reagan who gave us another recession. He also gave us Trickle Down Economics which we all know now is a crock of dog shit.

  • @IngloriusBastard11 The economy boomed after the 82-83 recession, more than making up in economic growth -- but inflation was tamed as a result. US very clearly prospered under Reagan policies.

  • Thanks for taking something from the past and fucking it up.

  • The truth sure brings out the idiots. 97 people can't read a history book.

  • Now, tha'ts funny. I dont care who you are. grouchobeers elevator don,t go to the top floor, i'd guess. Personally, I think George Carlin said it best. ........Social issues like racism and equal rights are A great way to keep Americans fighting amoung themselves, rather than joining together against the real enemy. The "elite-5%". Ever take a sh-t and look at it, and it looks like someone you know?? George B Ush comes to mind for some reason......can't figure why......

  • Now, tha'ts funny. I dont care who you are. grouchobeers elevator don,t go to the top floor, i'd guess. • OMG are you still flogging the "October Surprise" dead horse? I bet you have a lot of Sandinista semen still in your stomach too.

  • man..I just wanted to watch Rocky and Bullwinkle

  • This just makes me giggle. Thank you :)

  • Why do so called "artists" insist on ruining all these old cartoons w/ obscenties?

  • Actually this is rather accurate.

  • @theunbubba - what in this parody is not factual? Yes, it is ridiculing the actions that were taken, but we can't deny the facts no matter how unpleasent they may be - we can't manufacture the reality that we would like; we are stuck with the reality we have. Isn't it better we facing our history than deny it. Sometimes the decisions we make come back to haunt us, but hind sight is always 20/20. The morale is we should take great care in our decisions & contemplate their future effects.

  • @notfauxnooz I totally agree! Sometimes, like it or not, sometimes the Truth hurts. But like any test in life that is how we learn to be better. The Republicrats are all guilty in my opinion, of where we are as a nation of many misrepresentative promises. Politicians, humm, not even enough integrity to pick fruit, so untrustworthy. lol

  • I liked some of this, but the Taliban didn't exist until the 1990s when Reagan was out of office. He supported the Mujihideen which is quite a different thing, though to the uneducated I suppose they seem to be the same.

  • @Floodlezoot IIRC, the Mujihadeen split into several factions and the victorious one became the Taliban.

  • Such a privilege to see such a twist of humour on a otherwise dire situation - thanks for the cartoon - loved it!!!! What's love got to do with it when we got good ole economics. So much for perestroika and the f. ed .eral re- serve. And yippee we still have grass, plants, and weeds cause the earth will win every time. No the gover. N. Ment. Know the earth. When this passes it'll be looked back upon as the dark ages. I love Mr. Peabody!!!

  • Wow what a pack of lies. These jerks should be sued for copyright infringement.

  • @theunbubba Jay Ward Productions receives any income from this video. I get nothing.

  • I'm trying to remember an old cartoon show - much like Peabody & Sherman I think but not quite them perhaps, where there was a boy who drew chalkboard drawings that came to life - he would enter the chalkboard drawing he made and have adventures. Does anyone remember what show this might have been? Thanks!

  • @reorourke Could it be Simon?

  • @reorourke

The Real Great Adventures of ME, Tom Terrific

  • @reorourke

Are you talking about Harold and his magic purple marker? Or something like that. Did he draw a window and then open it and look at the moon he just drew? Or draw a door and then walk out of it? There was a small simple picture book. The cover may have been purple to match Harold's magic marker. Was the kid bald and wearing something that looked like a baby's pajamas? Google Harold and his purple marker. It sounds like what you may have been referring to. Good luck, reorourke.

  • @reorourke

Okay, I guess I was thinking about Harold and his purple crayon. Is this the character you were asking about? I tried to post the link to the book but this site wouldn't allow me to do it. Just google Harold and the purple crayon.

  • God bless whoever made this video. Americans are so stupid, and have such short memories, and are so uneducated about history, that I'm sure the facts discussed in this video will come as a huge surprise to most of our countrymen.

  • This is a brilliant piece of work. Oh, also: I live and work in Washington, DC ... anyone who thinks there's any difference AT ALL between reps and dems is hopelessly gullible. Until we have a third, and ideally a fourth party offering alternatives, we're stuck with the same old shit for the foreseeable future.
