Whenever I hear frank Sinatra I automatically go back to those visits to my grandpa's apartment in queens. I can just see him winking at me and greeting me with an "ayyy kiddo" as i came rushing up the stairs to and saw him sitting in his chair. I loved watching him listen to frank Sinatra and snap to the rhythm, singing to all the melodies. I loved listening to his stories from his time on the nypd and Giving him those Really tight hugs. I've always said that he was the perfect man. I miss hi
For me, the only ONE other person (and group) who have done this song justice is Jake Hunsaker and BYU Vocal Point. He has SUCH a smooth voice, I guess that's because he's listened to a LOT of this man right here, but his voice is SO smootch, he definitely could be a crooner like Sinatra if he wanted to. :-) Guys please give them a chance and listen to their version of "Way You Look Tonight".
If you love Frankie then you need to check out Ron Della Chiesa's program on Sunday nights. It is all Sinatra, all night,7-midnight,on WPLM,99.1 in Plymouth,Mass. Btw,I do Sinatra at kareoke and am refered to on the So.Shore of Boston as Jimmy Sinatra and would gladly challenge Mikie Buble to a sing off at any time! Mike? ball's in ur your court
oh Gosh im tired of teenagers writing their age just because they're listening to an old song. So what? i'm 15 but you dont see me posting that on all old songs, we do have parents and grandparents it's not that much of a rarity to find a teenager listening to Sinatra or Elvis. -_-
Oh...I have top comment? Well i'm honored, but my grammar in it makes 15 year-old me cringe....Frank sinatra is still and always will be as the "Cool" kids say "Kickass."
AWESOME FRANKIE,HEY FOLKS ALL OVER THE WORLD PLEASE GO TO YOU TUBE AND TYPE STEVE DITULLIO TO SEE THE NEW FRANK THANK YOU SO MUCH...PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD STEVE DITULLIO.....
@SteveDiTullio Look at him now! He can sing. Don't ever compare yourself to Frank Sinatra, Steve you don't have it. You are good but you bring more of a giggle than a tear when a tear is appropriate. nice tan though. Note: never tell anyone you are the new Frank. Be good and let everyone else do it for you.
I still have the "Swinging Lovers" , and "Swinging Affair" LPs I bought when I was 17 ( now 73). Frank had the great musical genius of chosing his arrangers and orchestras - Basie, Billy May, Qiuncy Jones, but I feel the real genius was when he collaborated with Nelson Riddle - who had previously collaborated closely withnat King Cole. I feel these arrangements contribute greatly to the everlasting freshness of Sinatra.
@lenkagamine02of2 I agree man I'm 15 and my girlfriend and I wish we could find some place to dance to this but it's so hard. This generation is a degeneration, I wish I lived back around that era :) It's so beautiful and classy and prosperous
Frank has been my favorite singer for many many decades! I really enjoyed this video!
The photos are a real plus! Young Frank! Elvis! Michael! Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, even Ava Gardner! Great Background video photos to accompany Frank's incredible singing!!
It was a well known fact that when Frank Sinatra checked into a hotel, he always tipped $100. He did this because he wanted to be remembered. Thanks for the music, Frank. We all remember the good time and good music.
I just bought a three disc set of Frank Sinatra The Capitol Years and this was the only hit that was missing - and it's my favorite song by him, too. :-(
vintage, swinging Frank! The phrasing alone is so much in a class by itself it's not even funny. The master singing one great classic(I think Jerome Kern wrote this one) like no one else could ever hope to.
i danced with my dad to this song at my wedding. He's now smiling down on me from Heaven, so whenever I hear this song....I just bawl....love you daddy....and i miss you sooooo much.....
Holy Shnikeys!!! Do you hear how this swings?!?! Listen to the intensity of the horn sections, the thumping bass, the strings... they all MEAN it!!! Compare this to the other versions on youtube and its the difference between a 5 star restaurant and McDonalds!
@IsAxxx20 Sadly, long gone. It takes too to much time and patience to compose, arrange, and interpret. And, mostly, talent to play it. Today's pop musician's and pop listeners don't have these qualities. These songs were created at a time when the singers and players were the most talented musicians. Oh well, thank good for recordings and video.
I danced this song with my dad at my wedding. He passed away 3 years later. I'm so glad we danced this special song. It will always mean a lot to me. Thanks Frankie and Dad!
@nicuyem77 That Makes me Smile To Hear That You Got Your Special Moment With Him With This Nice Song! Your Dad's With Frank Now Dancing All The Time! God Bless!
