The characters get different effects. Red venom is super fast. Gold War Machine can't be knocked back, but has no block. I forgot the rest... hahaha. It's not just a color swap.

These do exist but the author of this video has the codes wrong. you must input a MUCH LARGER series of directions from each character. its like unlocking the hidden characters in mortal kombat for example one the the characters is something like up(4)down(3)left(2)Right,down(­2), up(2) <---that isnt an actual code but you get the idea - go search gamefaqs for the character codes. i have used all of them and shadow lady(cyborg chun-li) shoots missiles out of her ass XD

well sounds like you've never played this.

it's not a color change at all, they're actually hidden on the character select screen and have special attributes.

read the videos description, it tells you where they're located.

I have played it I jus never really got n2 it as much as I wanted 2 ... BUT they r just different colors 4rm what I can tell the moves seem 2 b the same and the names don't even change u can clearly c n the beginning Venom is still Venom just a diff color I get they have diff attributes but jus because I didn't really notice they were secret characters doesn't mean I never played it I jus never owned it and unfortunately the game is impossible 2 find

Only good secret characters were:

Orange Hulk= Much faster and easier to corner with, but as vulnerable as normal characters.

Red Venom= So fast, he had afterimages when he walked but could be put down with a simple 10 hit combo

Shadow Lady= Interesting specials, hypers, and combos but could be incredibly cheap.

Roll= Generally had weaker attacks but very effective and cheap against Onslaught.

Gold War Machine was an uphill battle from the start and Morrigan lacked decent moves
