Max Payne has stupid mods part 1

The kungfu mod from kenneth is actually cool. It has more moves that help you dodge bullets :). Only sucky thing about it is the staff. Godamit that thing is annoying. You can't even aim with it... I prefer the baseball bat.

@IownyouProductions Yeah, the Kung Fu mod is pretty amazing! Though I feel bad that some other mods basically ripped off the source and shoved it into their own little mods.

I think the trick with using the staff is to let it play out the animation before it'll actually hit someone with it, otherwise it looks a little bit like you're doing circus tricks for mobsters.

And the Star Wars mod at least looked like good GFX on the saber, but hardly complete! Stacked cardboard boxes in Star Wars, for one thing? ??? Shoulda just made an entire TC of it to even bother hehehe

@Killicon93 Really? It's bad enough that Max Payne Headquarters shut down -where I got most of these mods from back in 2003 or - but now it seems like they're literally being lost to the past. I think Levels 4 You had some of the mods here too but that's also down.

@TheCount707 I don't hate this game at all and I didn't really bother about playing the game properly for the sake of "skill", that's why I used the coder cheat. Where you got the idea that I hate every mod from is a mystery but nevermind. At least you didn't tell me to make my own mod before I could critique other mods or something equally bizarre.

I had loads more fun with this as a first person game than with with me operating a disembodied character in 3rd person. It should have been 1st person to begin with. Or they should have at least had both options for this game. You 3rd person fans just have no sense of getting into the action. Plus its more challenging like Real Life because you have to look at whats around you.

@johnphoenix20009 I've no idea where your "GARGH I HATE THOSE DAMN 3rd PERSON SHOOTAHS!" rage comes from but in Max Payne, a game designed to be played from the 3rd person perspective, it doesn't really work so well and is like the annotation says, a novelty at best, probably it amps up the difficulty slightly but not much more than that. That's not to say 1st person games aren't fun, not at all. It's just those games were designed with that concept in mind.
