Top drawer nostalgia, reflection of better times. I remember this one especially..the Short Circuitz would be on soon before I go to bed, and this one used to make me feel weird (not that I could really understand it at the time, thinking back it seems like lonely and sullen) and I would always have unpleasant dreams. I started turning it off if it was this one. It's etched in my memory.
I am 23 years old - here are some things the 90's meant to me: YTV, Transformers, Goof Troop, Duck Tales, Mighty Max, Tales from the Cript Keeper, Reboot, Saved by the Bell, Boy meets World, Fresh Prince of Belair, Family Matters, Full house, ANIMANIACS... Our Lady Peace, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, No Doubt, Offspring, tear aways, devil sticks, pogs, marbles... being the only kid in my school that thought Pokemon was stupid...
i remember these when i was a kid like 8 or 9 i remember the internet and computers were just becoming popular i;m 24 now and want a time machine those commercial things freaked me out but they were cool at the same time
My god! And here I thought I was alone. Just as others have said these clips were nothing more than irritating way back when, now all I want is to see this on the big screen. I'll have to save these at some point to show some friends.
@Retrontario I couldn't agree with you more Retrontario, the current generation is nowhere near as cool as the one I grew up in. Please don't ever take down these videos, they make me feel happy.
Aw man! I'm having a flood of nostalgia after watching this video. Super Nintendo, N64, Windows 95/ 98, dial up internet and YTV. Growing up in the 90's kicked ass! I'm 23 now.
When I was a kid watching YTV, these video clips would annoy me, but today I have a much greater respect for them.
OMG! i can`t believe I found this. this always gave me either night mares or really cool dreams as a kid. these clips just blew my mind from every aspect. i wanna go back to those days
The one I'm looking for used to have this song that went "Things they come, in different shapes and sizes! Things they work, in many different ways!" lol it was a guy and a girl singing, I always wished I could find it again some day.
:( ahh......this was always on before are you afraid of the dark..well short circutz always were....every week night i would watch them..i cant believe i was 8 years old....im frikin 22 now:s
this is fucked! i would do anything to go back to the early 90's. it sucks though, i can only vaguely remeber this stuff, because i was only 2 or 3, but it still leaves me with some crazy nostalgia
WOW...as everyone else said, this brings me back, oh wow, I loved these things, I remember one that was almost 15 mins long, it was a speacial or something, but to this I've always wanted to see it again, thanks for posting this!
I remember this one would often air towards the evenings. In fact, I basically learned the entire concept of dusk being a bit depressing and melancholy at times. Doesn't this video just make you ache for a bright sunny morning again?
Hey, where did you find this? Heh, I've been looking for another Short Circuitz. It had a pretty decent song and around the end a woman said something about a butterfly? RIng any bells for you? Hehe.
Late night Friday, watching YTV, smile on yer face because it's not a school night, and you have saturday mornin cartoons to look forward to, and some awesome shortcircuts to set the mood, thanks for the memory and nostalgia. I wish ytv still had these
Man, your comment brought a smile to my face and a slight tear to my eye. Those memories remind me of the greatest days of my life and how great it was to be a kid of the 90s. Thanks for that comment and thanks to the uploader of these great YTV classic clips.
I agree too. Usually, all friday evenings and week-ends are my ytv times. After school, I just ran straight at home and sat on the comfy sofa to watch it. Just watching the short circutz stuffs reminds me alot of my childhood. Well, what can I say? Nostalgia!! Great clips.
At least September 1998, when YTV pulled the massive relaunch of the station into the weird station it STILL is today.
At least then they still had Phil & Paul, but once November 1998 hit, YTV fired them, & YTV brung on a childish approach to airwaves. Teenagers & even were left boycotting YTV once the change happened, since the schedule (which to my knowledge, restarted signing off around September 1998) & "Keep it Weird" branding was too child-oriented. Only a few shows had teend in mind.
Thanks for the comment dude. I have some tapes with the 1994-1995 era YTV shows like Mario super show, Casper (1990-91 cartoon series), Rugrats & Are You Afraid Of The Dark, aahh those were the days. I still remember watching some YTV in the "Keep it weird" era but now I avoid it fully cuz there's nothing but crap. Phil Guerrero was a hell of alot better than that chipmunk voiced girl.
I looked for so long.. I never though i would find these again!

These were the glory days of YTV and TV in general. These also were the glory days of growing up as a kid/teenager!
What the hell does this 2000's/2010's Generation have that can even fathom to compare to our days?
What...American Idol? Facebook? Hip Hop and it's absurd merchandise and clothing? Hanna Montana or ICarly? Economic Recession?
This new Generation sucks the big one!

I enjoyed quite a few of them when they played, particularly the repeating rooms with the duck and the dancing salt & pepper shakers.
I am not a fan of cg animation, but I was into these when they were on due to their often unique execution.

Those two shorts would be Rubber Duckies/Digital Duckhouse & Night Magic, search 'em up on YouTube sometime.

Yeah sadly they tended to cut them off. I do have another one, but it gets cut off as well!
Retrontario 3 years ago
All right, feel free to post it if ya like.
I just hate how they cut off Short Circutz shorts because of time constraints.
Also, was this recorded in 1995? I could have sworn that Driving Chair ID wasn't used until then.
