@ daq if you dont have a control surface you can write the notes in by going to the sequencer (the spot with the blocks of time mapped out)...grab the pencil tool, draw a bar in on the sequencer stage, grab the arrow tool...double click the bar, grab the pencil tool again and draw in some notes...hope this helps you start getting some melodies going with reason buddy ;)

i have a question with the sub bass. i get the normal bass to work and sound right when im hitting keys on my midi. but when i add the second thor and hit the keys, its the sub bass that works, and i can't get it to play the first thor bass.

help please?

Great tutorials and I wanna thank you , I'm new at using this program so I need to learn all I can . I don't have any music equipment so when you started playing the bassline it threw me for a loop cause you did not load any sounds in the patch, so wich one was it that you used or was it a keyboard you were using ?

Hey man, i love your videos, are great advice. i have a question though. do you recommend using Thor for all bass sounds? i just started with reason so sometimes i really dont know what synthesizer to use whenver i am starting something.

I use Thor for pretty much everything :D I think it's just got more options than the other synths, so if you want to make things more interesting sounding it's a lot easier to do so!
