@creamyfilling102 Because the BP clarinet was designed to feel as familiar as possible to clarinet players, BP clarinet music can be written on the usual staff in a way that indicates the clarinet fingering (instead of indicating the actual pitch). For BP music in general, there is still not a universally agreed notation. Look at clarinet maker Stephen Fox's website for info on the notation that I prefer.
Its funny how the basic structure of music is 3-7-12, an all pervasive formula throughout nature. Just look at the calendar; the periodic table; natural earth energy lines (called Ley lines; which is complex math but has to do with the numbers 3,7 and 12); the prism (triangular) separating white light into a spectrum of 7 colors; the Hebrew alphabet (22 letters) = 3 mother letters, 7 double letters, and 12 remaining. And the Zodiac, which interestingly enough includes a 13th, its no wonder.
so when reading music to this particular scale with it's different notes (H and J i think there is?), how does that work??
