Seeing this vid brings me way back! i love it! I was also in BoV, i was Kelead the friar. i remember Kallora, and Damious and Xexis. hope you guys are all doing well these days. Im back in daoc now, on ywain5 ( hib! oh no!) Kelead is now a warden ( and not nearly as active in RP , the way we used to be) that guild was some of the best times i ever had in any game, i hope to see you guys again someday :))

friars are no where near near as overpowered as mids. for example on albs a ministrel has 2 cast there spells where as a middy skald has all instant casts and hits 5x harder.

That is now, and I no longer play. When I first played Friars they were a great class, tough, but not too tough. It was fun when noobs mistook them for a caster, then ended up on the reciving end of a high speed staff to the groin :) Then they got left behind when multiple other classes got boosted and frankly sucked donkey **** for about 2 years before they got a boost, by which time I'd stopped playing...

Hunters always got the shortest end of the stick. They were terrific in beta, and for the first 10 patches, turned into the worst class in the game. I remember trying to fight friars on the PvP server with my berserker, if I was fully buffed by my pocket shaman, I could beat one around 40% of the time. My zerk was full sc'd too. They were ridiculously OP'd, mano-e-mano. RvR is a bad judge of class balance, other than 1 on 1 encounters, due to alb zergs.

LoL I'm an old Midguard player, but this still brings back memories... I had 8 lvl 50's and 6 of them ML 10 on galahad server.. I had a warrior and a Bonedancer that was RR8 I really miss this game can't wait till Warhammer comes out :-) it will RULE ALL... Nice video. This was done at around the time I was playing a lot. I miss AC - that's where everyone began hunting to get 50 after SI came out. I used to go there a lot with my pally and tank for PBAE groups. I would run around and agro all the mobs in the camp and bring them back to 2-3 ice wizards - that was so much fun!!!

Sadly I gave up playing Friars from sheer frustration before the recent "Friar love patches". I was also the interim Friar TL for a while before NF when there was no Friar TL for about 6 months. I was Minstrel TL at the same time so it was tough trying to do well for both classes. Sadly Friars got well and truly shafted in the RA revamp, but the dev who was in charge of that was stubborn and had a vendetta against Friars after the behaviour of the previous Friar TL...
