Hi, I just got into airsoft and my dust cover on my aeg is messed up and won't close. It just lets me get to the hop-up, I was just wondering is it important for the dust cover to close or not. Thanks.
for everyone having problems putting the battery in, the real problem is that little red cord all by itself. you need to move that to the side and make sure its not in the way.

@MarineRaider214 battery with higher voltage, high speed motor, optimized gear set, reduce spring strength. high speed piston. That's basically in order of what to upgrade.
@1337acecombat this gun is NOT worth 220. The one you're looking at is the same thing with a metal body instead of a plastic body. For that much money I would not get a JG though.

@jewlouds a high end Echo 1, or anti-up to a G&G, those things are great. Classic Army's are good for that price range as well as A&K. The gun depends on where you play, how you play and your personal style.

@ImFatCuzIEatJews I like the iron sights, using an optic is really your preference. Guns such as these only hurt at very close range, say 5 to 10 feet. Most fields have regulations to safe guard shooting someone that close.

hey I have the same problem as TheNAPRODUCTIONZ19 , I took out airfosting with my friends today and in the middle of the battle i fired it on full auto and it fired for bout 30 seconds then just stopped completely. I thought it was a battery problem but I found out and it wasn't and it feels like if the trigger isn't fully going back when I pull it any advice please!! I spent $208 on this gun and first time using it and it already failed me.

@matthew11010 yes, you can mount a RIS M203 on this gun, but if you have already invested in an M203 you might as well invest in a higher class gun, like a KWA or a G&G.
@deltaforc396 it's not heavy for me but I bench two hundred pounds, it depends. In general it's front heavy though. The mag can be wound both ways; on the bottom and with the tool provided
gubjub- good review dude. I also own this gun, Idk if you found out about the stock or not but mine literally came out. so id go and tighten the screw in it. and your mags will be a bit loose but its nothin bad. and again good review.
@gokugohanssj2 yes, I've fixed the stock, all I needed was the right sized allen key! And I currently put red electronic tape around the top of my mags for both identification and to help wiggle.

Besides, it comes with a battery! lol Also this gun has full metal internals but that doesn't mean it would be ready for a 9.6 (in long term use)

@FamousAnt4 DEFINITELY a foregrip. Any sort of optic is your preference. Don't get a super expensive optic though, I'd look in the $20-$30 range for any optic. Go with a red dot, something with high brightness levels. I don't know what type of matches you'll be playing but getting an extra magazine or two wouldn't hurt.
@nick4150 I wouldn't advise using .12g, for several reasons. The first is .12's tend to be very low quality because they're used in low quality guns, the second is .12g in this gun would be very inaccurate. I would pony up and buy some TSD .20g. They're high quality bb's meaning the gun will last longer.
@musickillers I would try and get the enhanced version, the basic version has a plastic gear box, meaning it's a lot more fragile and likely to break. The enhanced has a metal gear box, thus it can take more stress. Besides, the price difference is 25 bucks. I would say it's 25 bucks more well sent.
Hey gubjub you can fit a bigger battery (ie. a 9.6v) if you grind down the metal outer barrel to the front of the battery. With that done you can also fit the stock battery in easier without any wobble.
@maddmann228 I would not suggest grinding down the outer barrel, If you're looking to expand the battery compartment you could just remove the lower portion of the hand guard and replace it with a DIY larger hand guard. I would try searching 'JG M4 s-system battery expansion mod' or something of the like. Also you could fit a 9.6 nunchuck without modification.
@gubjub Or you could just get an aftermarket Crane stock, have the gun rewired to the rear, and stick the 9.6 nunchuck in the stock. That's what I did. Works perfectly, and it's way easier to deal with.
I just ordered the Enhanced 2010 version of this gun. I heard it is SLIGHTLY front heavy but I don't really care. Way good review! I actually have the same scope too. I got it off of an M14 rifle i got a year ago. I think its a nice scope, even though its cheap, its gunna do the same thing as a 100 dollar scope. Im also going to swap the multi position stock with a Crane stock. If i were to do that would there be any way I could get the battery cables to be wired to the back??
@Tcstewie yea S-systems can be pretty front heavy, if it bothers you I would get a fore grip. I actually got a crane for this gun recently and it is VERY useful. Unfortunately it is quite complicated to rewire S-systems to the back so instead of risking it I just took it to my local AEX shop and they did it for me. Make sure your battery fits the stock before buying by the way lol
@gubjub Yeah. I don't have a local Airsoft store so im going to have to just wing it and order a Crane stock off a website. I have like 4 batteries I can choose from so I should be good. Another thing I was thinking about doing was cutting a chunk out of the top RIS so that it would become 2 separate pieces, and overall make the gun lighter. So then it would have the RIS for the body and the RIS on the front top. But idk. I will be getting a foregrip too.
@Tcstewie yea I've also seen people take off the bottom hand guard all together and replace it with large PVC piping or something similar as a DIY battery extension kit lol idk it's an option. If you attempt the rewiring make sure to research it thoroughly. From what I understand is you need a different trigger shuttle that is wired the other way.
@TheFlamingBurrito97 yea I've fixed the mag wobble first with tape (needed tape anyway so I could identify my mags from others) Unfortunately I can't tighten anything because the body is held together by body pins.

Tan... Depends, do you want the cool factor or the versatile factor? If the later, get it just black (versatile).
They're flip ups, not sure whether the ones I've used, but they should be OK for CQB.
Optics... That's mission specific. You going to a CQB event, get a red dot. But overall, the flip-ups are ok.
It probably hurts a lot. I don't recommend shooting someone unless they're about 10 yards away.

The first is .12's tend to be very low quality because they're used in low quality guns, the second is .12g in this gun would be very inaccurate. I would pony up and buy some TSD .20g. They're high quality bb's meaning the gun will last longer.

@musickillers I would try and get the enhanced version, the basic version has a plastic gear box, meaning it's a lot more fragile and likely to break. The enhanced has a metal gear box, thus it can take more stress. Besides, the price difference is 25 bucks. I would say it's 25 bucks more well sent.

Hey gubjub you can fit a bigger battery (ie. a 9.6v) if you grind down the metal outer barrel to the front of the battery. With that done you can also fit the stock battery in easier without any wobble.

@maddmann228 I would not suggest grinding down the outer barrel, If you're looking to expand the battery compartment you could just remove the lower portion of the hand guard and replace it with a DIY larger hand guard. I would try searching 'JG M4 s-system battery expansion mod' or something of the like. Also you could fit a 9.6 nunchuck without modification.

@gubjub Or you could just get an aftermarket Crane stock, have the gun rewired to the rear, and stick the 9.6 nunchuck in the stock. That's what I did. Works perfectly, and it's way easier to deal with.

I just ordered the Enhanced 2010 version of this gun. I heard it is SLIGHTLY front heavy but I don't really care. Way good review! I actually have the same scope too. I got it off of an M14 rifle i got a year ago. I think its a nice scope, even though its cheap, its gunna do the same thing as a 100 dollar scope. Im also going to swap the multi position stock with a Crane stock. If i were to do that would there be any way I could get the battery cables to be wired to the back??

@Tcstewie yea S-systems can be pretty front heavy, if it bothers you I would get a fore grip. I actually got a crane for this gun recently and it is VERY useful. Unfortunately it is quite complicated to rewire S-systems to the back so instead of risking it I just took it to my local AEX shop and they did it for me. Make sure your battery fits the stock before buying by the way lol

@gubjub Yeah. I don't have a local Airsoft store so im going to have to just wing it and order a Crane stock off a website. I have like 4 batteries I can choose from so I should be good. Another thing I was thinking about doing was cutting a chunk out of the top RIS so that it would become 2 separate pieces, and overall make the gun lighter. So then it would have the RIS for the body and the RIS on the front top. But idk. I will be getting a foregrip too.

@Tcstewie yea I've also seen people take off the bottom hand guard all together and replace it with large PVC piping or something similar as a DIY battery extension kit lol idk it's an option. If you attempt the rewiring make sure to research it thoroughly. From what I understand is you need a different trigger shuttle that is wired the other way.

probably wobbly cus u need to tighten sum things or put some thin tape around the top of ur mag but make sure its paper thin less than that

@TheFlamingBurrito97 yea I've fixed the mag wobble first with tape (needed tape anyway so I could identify my mags from others) Unfortunately I can't tighten anything because the body is held together by body pins.
