@Somenormalguy1 : you mean the camera movement? Yeah, at first I thought moving the gun is to turn the camera like wii, but he mentioned it will move the character left and right. Not sure how we can move camera up and down. Better get mouse and keyboard for FPS and get this one for games like House of Dead and Time Crisis
the only way this gun could be really useful was if you where using a projector screen (70 inches and up), if the weapon was acurate, and if the game registered the movement of the gun so wherever you move the gun, the gun moves that way on screen, even if you are not using the scope to aim, that would be amazing.
queria muito ter oportunidade de testar isso mas so queria saber se ajusta automaticamente em jogos que você usa o botao de mirar para aumentar a precisão (normalmente é o L2 )
So after forking out HK$1100 for the thing and spending an entire evening trying to get it to work I had to take a trip back to the store next day and buy a wired controller for a further HK$250, it worked but I was left spinning round and round playing black ops and totally unplayable.....ok, it needs calibrating I thought....last night calibrated it but I cannot get the damn thing to work no matter what I do...instructions are only for connecting to a PC.
@Stefjeff In this condition, you can use the MARK button at the front of MAG GUN for adjustment.
Please also note: 1. Before you start playing, DO REMEMBER to aim at the screen center and press MARK button once to identify the screen. 2. Press MARK button to adjust if you find MAG GUN deviate too much in gameplay.
And one thing they fail to mention on any of the packaging or documentation that comes with it is that it does not work if you have wireless controllers
MAG Gun is really awesome...i used it and play in PS3...can play Killzone 2, Killzone 3 Beta, Socom, MAG without any problem...just need a little bit adjustment in the game to make you comfortable using it.
Okay, well clearly this thing doesnt work at all, but now I want one. Does anyone know where I can get something like this that works and is available in Canada?
I was referencing OTHER GIMMICKY CONTROLLERS, now if you think I'm talking about Xbox and PS3 controllers by that description, you must be the one that's high.
I'm talking about controllers like the Chainsaw controller, Power Glove, etc... you know, the controller that are GIMMICKY?
So if I got this straight it uses the front camera 1:40 to "know" to strafe? Because YES the reticle doesn't change with the guns direction. This is dumb.
@JayD544 Watch the guy use the thing, Watch him waving the thing all over while the screen doesn't or hardly/changes. Yes Sensitivity, Sure. Why such low sensitivity for a "Industry Professional"? Why a camera in front? Sometimes he points completely away from the screen.
@oxygon I totally agree, I saw it when I watched it, just watch that bloke.. I dont think you can aim properly, it might be even the case that aiming is secondary its purpose.... But I reckon there is NO WAY you can aim with that gun as if its a real one as if it had iron aim and hit the target.
These consoles (cant remember which one) like 15 years ago were more accurate than this rubbish.
@GatheringStorm999 You don't understand; this isn't a free-aim system like Sixense. It's a static-aim system that simply translates the input method, without changing the game's software.
@GatheringStorm999 I've noticed this as well in the video. What we really need for something like this to become affective in a FPS, especially with the PlayStation Move controllers coming out, would be for devs to push forward the FPS genre into FPS with aiming control similat to TPS whereas you can actually move the reticle and have the screen pan when necessary near the edge of the screen. Link's CrossBow Training on Wii, although is TPS not FPS, is a good example of this aiming control.
So this is just a gun shaped controller and not a light gun? What a ripoff!

@dreamyear The procucer will launch an accessory with force back vibration. It's FORCE BACK VIBRATION, not simply vibration.

@oxygon Industry professionals (that, is, the gaming industry) aren't usually skilled at the games they make.

@DaveGX another example which is an FPS is metroid prime corruption.
and it actually works quite well in that game. it allows for very fast aiming and shooting.
roderik1990 1 year ago
@GatheringStorm999 of course it doesnt. it simply changes the way you hold your controller.. anyone smart enough would figure that out.
