  • Thats swinging ! :)

  • @rolandatelierman

    Yeahhh !!!

  • Roland has Made an exceptional organ. I would like to think that Roland would rework the Drawbar sounds in the At-900 or at least add an 11 pin connector for external leslie.

  • Roland always have quality sounds, especially orchesteral instruments, that trombone sounded quite surprisingly real and the organ tones sound authentic and Roland always have quality and amusing voice sounds, I always find the doohs most amusing.

  • The only player in the world who gives Hector a run for his money is Max Takano. Chris has played this very well and is clearly very talented , but comparing anyone to Hector or Max is simply unfair.

  • Thanks for your opinions !!

  • if Hector Olivera was playing this song it would sound ten times better

  • @Royalorgans

I respect you opinion, but for me this Chris Halon play as good !!

And for demostration of Roland AT-900C features, his performance is perfect !!!

And Chris plays without reading the sheet music... :))))

  • I understand what you are saying and by me be a professional organist and music industry proffessional, I know what a organ should sound like and who has batter technique. Chris Halon is good, But not better than Hector Olivera, Choy Lozada, Ric Iannone, Ryoki Yamaguchi and Rick Dipero. Chirs is on the level with Rosemary Bailey, both of them can play very well but their taste is a little bland.

  • On a scale from 1-10, with Hector being a ten, Choy Lozando and Ric Iannone being a 9.75 and Ryoki Yamaguchi and Rick Depiro being a 9.25. Rosemary Bailey, Chris Halon, Tony Fenelon comes in around a 7.5-8.0 ( this is still a good ranking because if they were not good Roland wouldnt have hired them). Please note that im not trying to discredit the other players becuase they play very well, however I am stating a fact that their are not better than the other player mentioned

  • @Royalorgans

Ok, i agree, but I do not say any better, but Chris sounds good as the others ...

Then if you want to do a scale of skill, what do you think of Klaus Wunderlich?? For me it is the best :)))

    Mike from Italy.

  • @mikefox1974 Wunderlich cannot be compared to current day organists because he did not have such technology available. He was one of the best, in his time. The only fair way of comparing them would be to ressurect Wunderlich at age 60 (so he has some experiences with digital organs) and put him behind an AT-900.

  • @MVanthoor I Think Wunderlich is a good organist. He could definately make the organ sound great.

  • @Royalorgans You KNOW how an organ should sound?

And how is that? Like a Hammond? A Wersi? Like an orchestra? Like the way Jimmy Smith played, or like the way Claudia Hirschfeld does? The only thing you can know is how you would like an organ to sound.

  • @MVanthoor Yeah, The organ should sound like a Hammond but with the capabilities of sounding like a wersi also.

  • @Royalorgans I agree with you, The organ is great. Myself and others are hoping for the best that hammond would add the 11 pin connector so that the drawbar sounds can be run through physical leslie.

  • @MVanthoor The organ sound does not sound good through those speakers. It needs a leslie speaker output

  • Whoah....talk about old-school...Roland is rich and deep in sound.mmmm

  • Ciao Nezzarei!!

Yes, you are right, me too, i like so much the sounds of Roland Atelier... very great organ!!

    Thanks for your opinion!! :)

    Nice day from Italy

    Mike

  • COOL ORGAN!!!!!

do you all remember front pumping?

  • Ciao Nancy!! eheheh... the "front pumping" is named from Roland " Laser Beam Function"... you can watch this new technology on new keyboard Roland's PRELUDE, in my videos list! I send you directly this interesting video!

    Best greetings, Nancy, from Italy

  • I'm sorry, Nancy, but i cant send video to you, my mail to you not start, because YouTube says your channel is not enabled to receive mail!! But you can find in my videos list.

  • ok, I will have to fix that.

  • 35 years ago I was playing the organ in malls, department stores and state fairs ...

Ah ...the good ole days .....and we didn't have auto accompaniment! Exciting video !!

  • Very thanks to you, Barton, for your nice comment!

    Greeting from Italy.

  • Reminds me of the "Mall Organ" days about 20-30 years ago. Wonder if this guy can actually PLAY a real organ without all that automatic stuff? Nice, energitic video though.

  • Thanks Dick for your comment.

  • Dick...watch his hands...See?...he is actually playing the organ!! He is Chris Halon, for pity's sake...of course he can play!! Open your eyes, man!!

  • nothing is automatic... hes playing all the instruments himself :-) and hes playing the organ voice too
