Oh, one more thing, at about 1:01, Popeye actually picks up the safe (or vault, whichever you want to put it), sweeps the dirt under it, then he puts it back down with no trouble.

I've heard of people doing that with area rugs, but, this is kind of take that poor cleaning method to a WHOLE NEW level!

Thats because only so much of the present cartoon was shown, they showed flashback clips to make up the time span. Technicolor as you know was expensive, so Polacolor & Cinecolor was for the cheaper.

In comics, much like the live action movie(1980), Popeye didn't like to eat spinach at first either. But when he discovered how strong it made him, he continued to eat it and eventually grew to like it.
