I don't like it. The break after the straspeys was too abrupt as well as the break from the jig to slow air. In fact I like the bulk of the medley but breaks and the intro completely ruined it for me. If was judging the "Top 3" would have been broken for sure.

the extended 'E' was fucking brilliant in my opinion. Lots of key changes = nice.

This whole set was creative and I like that. Great and successful attempt at something new.

Still a shame the "Top 3" remained this year. oh well...

VERY STRONG MEDLEY, its different then what we usualy see, and i think thats what the medley is all about. Try new stuff, and what better band then the shotts to do do it.

I thought that the introductory hornpipe was poor, starting with a series of held notes to allow the pipers to find their places in the circle. The first strathspey "The Dancing Stag" sounded suspiciously like "Oe'r the Bows to Ballindalloch"... plagiarism? And a very weak finish. Overall I was not impressed.
