But any war between people of equal standing are always met with dead locks until some event comes along and simply throws the scale into utter chaos, for WW2 it was Hiroshima, During the crusades it was the increasing viking raids in northern europe

To simply upscale it from a single planet to a galaxy does nothing more than increase the time expectancy of the wars victory agenda. You effectivly just blew a hole in your own arguement, your right there is a difference and that difference is time expectancy, while a 4 year war seems long for a national conflict lets now apply this to a global incident and then multiply it for every habited planet in the galaxy, tell me why would they expect this war to end any sooned then 1000 years?

Supreme commander sucks!!!
It is full of technical bugs, I have a high spec PC running windows vista with the latest drivers and I can manage only a few weeks with this game.
After a few weeks it start complaining of a PGN file corruption and displays a message complaining that my PC doesn't comply with the minimum requirements, then I have unninstal and reinstall the game to keep playing.
Cris taylor is a con artist. Do a proper system testing before releasing your software !!!
I will admit that the UEF did have the "Black Sun" weapon and the awesome Mavor, but didn't the UEF start the war? You know, with all the enslavement and bombing?
The UEF are not behind the war at all, they simply try to restore peace as it were, before the Cybran chose to attack Earth Empire, and becoming slaves as a result. Earth Empire wasn't even behind the destruction of the Seraphim, that was purely by corrupt soldiers. Aeon chose to put the blame on Earth Empire. But haha, let them die if they wish.
The crooked soldiers part I understand(that doesn't acount for the whole Federation), but the Cybrans didn't become enslaved by the Earth Empire because they tryed to kill UEF soldiers; the reason the Cybrans were enslaved is because they wanted freedom, and the UEF enslaved them. (The UEF didn't want to lose control of them, but did anyways.)
