  • Hey u got better. Gd job! XD

  • @AriDeClue Thanks! ;o) I've still got a ways to go, but I hope to post a 3 month update in another month or so. Been using SSO a bit more than SS lately.

  • I'm doing disc 3 Session5 Liproll and Tonguetrill exercises. How often and how many should I perform them? and should I not move on to the next exercises before I can go really high? Brett doesn't seem to cover much on this part. Please share your experience . Thanks!

  • I've been working on Singing Success and Singing Success Online for 30 minutes to an hour 5-6 days a week. Our band practices once a week for a few hours. I'd spend at least a week per lesson (some people do a month), and then start over again.

For lip rolls, I've found that the trick is to keep the tip of your tongue lightly on the back of the bottom row of teeth. Brett mentions this in the first technique lesson where he introduces them (something about being like when you say "he").

  • As far as going higher with your voice, you want to do as Brett says and "only go as high as you can freely and comfortably." That being said, pharyngeal exercises have also helped me discover my head voice (I previously was pulling up chest or flipping into falsetto). I'm still working some of the kinks out and building consistency.

If you work hard at it and give it time, SS will help you build a stable voice and may increase your range a bit, depending on your previous techniques/habits.
