:D runescape is probably one of the best online, no download, java game. It is VERY boring when you are scaping alone, but extremely fun if you have a group to chat with on msn or skype. Group events such as Clan wars brings people together.

Also, if you think about it, it has a slight similarity to facebook - your avatar represents you, you leave comments to them when they are around, and there are lots of games which you can do around runescape. ;)
