One of the reasons why Im not in a religion after 22 years in being in one. I myself am a Christian and I respect people who don't believe in Him as much as I would for any regular person I'd meet. It's the dickheaded people that force you into something that makes me burn a fuse. Still people just stop fucking around and take life as it is, you want to know who's right? Great song, I have loved pennywise for years, but God is not like that at all. Man has made true christianity a religion, they have twisted it into something perverse and ugly. As Madorin86 said, read the Gospels and you will see the true nature of Jesus Christ - blameless, humble, kind, loving, righteous but not judging, he was a servant, he healed the sick and spent time with what people refer to as scum of the earth.

Well, I'm a christian and i really like this song... to me, it's not anti-religious at all,but more a condamnation of that way of easy,blind and superficial believing,that makes too many foolish people think that Heaven is a kind of theatre : make a contribution,get a better seat. In the lyrics it's a kind of evidence.Everyone has got his own personal reasons to believe or not, but Faith it's not business. Just read the Gospel and you'll see that God doesn't ask money, just each other love.

@madorion86 actually he does ask this (to each ones own ability), and under jewish law 10% is required. that is old law and not binding under new (post Jesus of Naz.) law. One of the reasons why Im not in a religion after 22 years in being in one. That and all of reality is seen through individual (as in subjective) opinion and thus talking about specifics outside of physical reality is a non-productive.
