good stuff man. now i can add wifi 2 my sprint pixi. i wish my sprint phone had a sim card slot though. it would be nice 2 b able 2 use it here in korea...i know that at&t pixi's r the only ones that have a sim card slot and i'm looking 2 buy 1.

Hello, I want to try this but I would like to know if the remaining sprint radio can be put into the verizon palm pixi that I'm taking the board out of, to make it a verizon palm pixi with no wifi as to not ruin a perfectly good phone. I have sprint and can give the verizon phone to my parents who would have no use for the wifi (tech illiterate hah)

@victorplz Yes you can place the sprint radio board in the verizon pixo how ever i did not make a rom for the verizon so you will be stuck with sprint OS but should still work

Mate basically I think the phone is intact it just needs the face cover kit with adhesive. The ribbon and what I'm guessing is. @JonnytZaskar you have to replace the whole front buy a bad ESN pixi on ebay does not matter what provider sprint Verizon or att... Just take your mother board out and coms board and back cover and place it in the pixi with the good screen and diga...

Mate great video my phone cracked in my pocket at Xmas I took it to pieces and basically I think I need a new keyboard and screen cover which is fairly easy to source wants also damaged though is the ribbon from the radio board which connects to the rubber touch pad which sits under the gesture area. The way I see it I can try and source the ribbon with the rubber circuit attached any ideas I'm in uk cheers

@1318comanche If you talking about unlocking it for another provider you cant but if your referring to the SML or msl code you call sprint and get that from them...

@Crandelz You need to replace the whole back cover (not the battery cover) there is a part were it will break you can find the parts for this on ebay i think...

@stacy532 there is a battery that is extended for the pixi far as PAM? i use it as a mobile hotspot so i guess that's what you mean...

@saberkid1 No once you do the swap you will have no sprint programs but if you use the rom in my forum on pre central it will change the model number back to p120eww and will let you doctor with the sprint rom

I have a lot of pixi parts laying around sadly only had one pixi plus radio board i work in a cell repair shop so what risk? also that's a 2nd line i use just for testing anyways. its a hell of a lot cheaper to be on sprint then it is on Verizon and the part was pulled from a smashed Pixi plus so no loss there....

@gawindapper The Pixi plus only has 256 so no gain in ram and it also only has 8gb as well so basically your just adding wifi

You have given me hope that my experiment will work.

I have been wanting to do a similar swap to gain memory/ram on the palm pre.

I have already purchased an extra pre, and i'm still trying to find a reasonably cheap palm pre plus for parts. once i have both, i wanted to tinker around and see if i could swap out the innards and have extra memory/ram on a sprint pre.

Do you have any thoughts or suggestions?

@CoffeeBeforeBed Well you most likely could place your Verizon board in the sprint pre but you would now have a Verizon phone since the ESN is tied to the main board that would follow you you would have to take it to sprint and have them enter the number by calling level 2 tech
