  • Last question, how did u powerup led buttons? Most of them seller say i need a switching power supply, but i dint saw one on ur video.......... :-/ ......by the way ,thanx for the quick response

  • @machinitoo I powered the LEDs off of one of the computer's 5 volt molex connectors. You can also use a dedicated power supply, which you can find at Happ or Lizardlick. You can control the blinking with an LEDWiz from GroovyGameGear.

  • In starting to shop to make my own too, there is only one question up my mind.....what type of wood did u use?????

  • @machinitoo 3/4"MDF for most of it, with some 5/8" MDF for the control panel.

  • a thing of beauty

  • Hey there, I'm not sure if you're active on here anymore but I'm looking to purchase a MAME arcade cabinet around July 2012. Any chance in selling yours or building me a custom? Thanks!

  • @fitnessdoc78

Would love to build one for you, but don't have time this year (just bought a new house). Maybe summer 2013, but I doubt you can wait that long!

  • @rdowney111

No problem man, I'm in the same situation and plan on starting off building my own home arcade this summer. If for some reason I'm still looking summer 2013 I'll get ahold of you. Congrats on the new place!

  • @KeVoRkIaN7 LMAO!

  • I have a quick question. I was thinking about building an arcade machine and was wondering about how much overall did you spend. I need to get a price range so I can see if it is out of the question about spending a lot of money on it or if it is reasonable enough to where I should try it. Thanks for your time!

  • @Zstopmotionanimation

You can find my price list at my website:

Look at the last image under "Postscript"

I went pretty high end on everything, so keep that in mind.

  • You are my hero. lol

  • you should also include the link to the pictures detailing it's conception and construction within the vid description. I saw your site with the pics and they were really interesting. Great job!

  • thats some great work on the cab dude.

it looks awesome , probably one of the best home built cabs ive ever seen.

i just made a vid blending the space oddessey theme with mame. i too am going this route as i think they mix well together. i just upped my vid and yours was in similar videos so i had to have a look.

    anyways,

ive yet to build the cab but i'll start soon. it'll be an all white cab with black graphics on it. its the retro look im going for.

once again tho, awesome cab, 5* !

  • THE WHOLE PROJECT

  • DOPE! Nice work!

  • I love it man terrific

  • That is a lot of blue.

  • Blue is just the absence of red and green. Besides, there's more black than blue.

  • Do a Google search for "KNIEVEL KUSTOMS" and you'll see where I got my inspiration. Also, I've added the web address to my project website at the end of the video. There is more info there. Good luck!

  • Thanks!

  • Damnit, why'd it delete.. anyways, very nice cabinet. Mind if I ask, what cabinet plans you used? I'm in the process of designing mine, and I really like your 2 player layout. Very clean.

    Awesome job.
