God, this is why BC1 had a much better campaign than BC2. It was goddamn hysterical and lighthearted. In BC2, everything is so dark and gritty that it tastes like dirt. The dialogue was also much better in BC1, mainly because there wasn't a constant stream of swear words in the first one.

Plus, the whole "American soldiers go AWOL to save their country from a terrorist super-weapon" cliche is so... Call of Duty. We want realism, but not at the sacrifice of character development and fun.
