@Wurzelknecht I was surprised that this was the only Top Moves of Jumbo video I could find on youtube. Yes, dammit, Tsuruta was a freakin' god!! A total package among total packages! Selling, executing, bumping, charisma, he has them ALL, and with such abundance too. Said it before, but thanks so much for helping me find out about him.
No wonder Tsuruta is thought to be the best wrestler of the 80's!! Now, a bit off topic, but after seeing here the sheerdrop powerbomb, wasn't that what Kenta Kobashi was trying to do with the Diamond Head?
I heard Jumbo described once as having the technical skill of Ric Flair, the popularity of Hogan, and the selflessness of Terry Funk. Sounds like the perfect wrestler, and gratz on the 1000
that "Missile Dropkick" was actually a diving dropkick, it would have been a Missile Dropkick had he landed on his back e.g A breaak-your-back dropkick off the top but instead he did a normal dropkick off the top which is technically a diving dropkick. I learned this of Mike Quackenbush ahaha
Bow down to Jumbo! He was a GOD! The 80s belonged to him and Flair. OH!

I like Jumbo's Bridging Backdrop better than his release version. But he does the move flawlessly either way.

What is the difference between a sheerdrop powerbomb and a ganso bomb?
flyboymitsu 10 months ago
@flyboymitsu
same move, different names
StarspawnOfCthulhu 10 months ago
@flyboymitsu
Ganso Bomb = opponent lands on his head
Sheerdrop Powerbomb = opponent lands on his neck
There are differences in the way the attacker moves/goes down, but the differences mentioned above are the main differences.
