  • This is GOOD fiddlin'......I'd like to hear what Itzhak Perlman did with this tune...lol

  • And this is why i love going to the US every year. excellent vid ....thanks

  • I like what you do with the dubbing. I was just curious as to what program you are using. I dub over using a digital recorder, but it does not have video. I have enjoyed your many videos. Thank you for sharing with all of us in cyber world.

  • Beautiful!!! I´m a very begener on Violin and find beautiful music like this, invite me to try learn and play it. I´m engaged on it now. Well, could you share the sheet music? I´m from Argentina, Southest country in America. I´ll try to find this Method of American Fiddle here in this country but I´m not sure I´ll find it here.

Sorry for my English. (spanish spoken)

¡¡Very nice to find you on youtube, a really dedicated young musician, and talented.!!

    ¡¡Congratulations!!

  • Hi! Thank you! I use a fiddle book by "Brian Wicklund". There should be many fiddle books with this song in them. Maybe not the same arrangement. I am not home to look at my book . . . . I am performing away from my home for 2 more months. I wonder if you could get the music for this song for "free" online?

Sorry, I couldn't be more help to you.

  • @BluegrassForte is the book by Brian Wicklund called the american fiddle?

  • @HeIsLegend14 Yes...American Fiddle Method book #2 by Brian Wicklund.

  • @BluegrassForte

I use as a reference the MIDI found on Hetzler's fakebook. I was living in Boston and the only non Irish admitted to special old fiddlers' evenings. I have monitored all U TUbe versions of Ragtime Annie and found yours very interesting.

  • WOW

  • AMAZING ! i am trying to learn it but i cant seem to get it ! how long did it take you to learn it !

  • Thanks! It took me about a week to learn but longer to perfect it.

  • I have been fiddling since I was 8...(33 years now) and I would love to learn to play this...you are a real encouragement. Did you learn it by ear or did you have sheet music?

  • Hi! Thank you for your comment! I learned this song by using "The American Fiddle Method, Volume 2" by Brian Wicklund. It came with a CD so I used both the book and the CD. It has a lot of other great songs in it too. I play some of them here on Youtube.

    Gretsch'n

  • is it easy to play fiddle cause i play guitar fairly well and i want to play the fiddle

  • To me, the guitar is way easier. I enjoy playing the fiddle though.

    Gretsch'n

  • yeah. i've played guitar for years and i'm trying to learn the fiddle. it's so much harder.

  • Sounds good. Play it again now and let's see how much you have improved. I'm sure you can tear it up.

  • Thanks for your comment! I'll have to do that!

    Gretsch'n

  • these things keep getting better

    thanks for posting more

  • Great fiddlin.

    Thanks for sharing

  • thats really good.I love when you double string...Just wondering what kind of fiddle is that.I guess I should say what brand ..Realy nice sound. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you. I bought my violin used and it didn't have a brand stamped in it so I am not sure. I have a couple of unbranded violins and I have noticed that the string quality makes a big difference in the sound. I use Dominant strings. They are more money, but they are worth it. :o) Gretsch'n

  • Wow that's great! How long have you been fiddling? It sounds wonderful! I practice a ton, but it's all worth it when you get to the jam session! Do you take lessons? I just started lessons 2 months ago, but I had classical lessons till I was a senior in high school. I'll post some of what I'm working on here in the next day or two :) Well, guess I'll get on to your next video. Talk at you later.
