George Romero made Night, then Dawn of the dead (78 not 2004)was the sequel, then Day of the dead, then he did Land of the dead, diary of the dead, and survival of the dead (all 3 of which i thought were a bit lousy). The Return of the living dead series were more campy and silly. Part one was written to be a funny zombie movie, then this one took it over the top. The rest kinda just got dumb.

@rsfrodo Zombies often have super strength, its almost a trade for their lack in speed to make them more deadly, it explains why in many zombie movies a small zombie group will rip apart a victim with relative ease to kill and eat them, but usually even without that strength the way zombies multiply and swarm victims is deadly enough.
