  • Hi there - thanks for the helpful video. I picked up the F1.8D myself today. However, it seems far trickier to even get on the mount compared to other lenses. Did you find this when you first tried? I'm just nervous about making a very expensive mistake! Cheers.

  • @Nialletto Yes at first it is really hard to get on but it does get easier

just keep turning it it will will be fine after a while

  • @deminshine1 Many thanks. I've just never had to "force" a lens on before!

  • @Nialletto I know what you mean i was worried about breaking the camera fixings

turning it that hard ha and no problem anytime

  • Does your 50mm f1.8 has a hotspot in the picture when shooting in a very bright light with f16 or more? Thanks.

  • @DAVAIO good question i will have to test it out havent used the lens in a while

  • Does your 50mm f1.8 has a hotspot when shooting in a very brigth light with f16 or more..? Thanks

  • you can use the 50mm f1.8 with the aperture ring unlocked if you are in manual mode or aperture priority mode, much more fun:)

  • ok thanks i will try nikon d90 is the best i like this camera

  • is this compatible with the nikon d5000?

  • i had err on my nikon d90 body

  • @joyojundil I think i no what you mean on the 50mm you have a manual f/stop slider

you want to line up the number 22 with the dot on the lens and then lock it in with the slider lock just to the right

  • @HardflipXx do u skate? Noticed ur name haha

  • @skippy1239 haha thanks for the comment and if im rite your talking about demonmathiel

from deviantart ha and no im not him but im one of his friends on there

you can check me out if you like

    its pqphotography

  • At the beginning of the video you said you have to put it to f22 to shoot. Does that mean I can't use the other stops? For example if i'd like to have shallow DOF will I be able to move it to f1.8?

  • @HardflipXx hi you have to put it to f22 to use the lens with a dslr then you can change the setting as normal in cam

so you need to move the slider to f22 and then lock it in place with the button next to it :) i hope that helps thanks for the comment

  • Very helpful, cheers.

  • @scays1 no probs :):)
