  • @jiricekk86 lol I can try. pronounce the Z like the z in zombie, then the a like the a in arm and nd like with the word end and voort would be pronounced in the same way as the word lord (vord). I hope this was understandable.

  • @jiricekk86 Zandvoort is the original name. It's Dutch. 'Zand' means 'sand,' but 'voort' isn't really a Dutch word.

  • @LarsHavelte I checked it and voort stands for Voorde wich means several things but one thing that a Voorde is is a place where people can reach the sea through the sand dunes.

  • @philateliceun Ah ok.... didn't know that, and my native language is Dutch, lol. Voorde is a very old word.

  • zandvoort

  • That raw sound is music to my ears.

  • true...true...

  • Great sound from the 3 litre Ford Cosworth DFV and a classic, undulating, sweeping circuit which sadly is no longer in this form, wouldn't suprise me if it was Hermann Tilke messing it up like he does with every decent circuit e.g Osterreichring and Hockenheim.

  • @motorsportnutter4eva In Tilke's defense, he's hired to fix tracks like that to fit modern track and safety standards. He doesn't say "Now how can I ruin this track?" and have an evil laugh. It's his job.

  • great post...

  • Zandvoort is an amazing track

  • well tambay made it to formula 1 and won a couple races i think not everyone can do that lol .other than that just ordinary fella

  • Tambay was always underrated, especially in his early days, in my view...

  • Awesome!
