  • Aaaa she's beautiful~ I'm trying my best to learn all about falconry, as it really has grabbed me since I found out about it. At first it was more about having a bird of prey, something I've always been fascinated with. I wasn't sure about the hunting part for a bit, but now I am really looking forward to possibly seeing a hunt with my own eyes! I really do think I want to pursue a falconer's lifestyle. c:

  • @MissWisteriaa Your state fish and wildlife department can provide you a list of local falconers willing to mentor others. Contact them and go hunting with them. It will help you decide what path to take. I urge you to embrace hunting as an absolutely essential component of falconry. When a bird is not hunting regularly it is literally wasting away in both body and spirit. You will see this first hand. However, a bird that hunts regularly will be full of vigor and vitality that is undeniable.

  • nice video congratulations

  • Hi there, wow i just watched the video

that is one beautiful bird, awesome video clip!

  • Beautiful bird. :)

  • Impressive hunting and a well trained hawk..dont see many of these flown in the UK. Sean Whitehurst.

  • Thanks Sean. This was filmed when my brother and I were first-year apprentices. This is him and his first bird (female Red Tail) on their first hunt. He really did a spectacular job with that bird. He's definitely the better falconer.
