For me it is a heartbreaking reminder that illiteracy , lack of basic health care and no ability to choose are the fate of these women. there is a vicious cycle of ignorance and honor related crimes comitted against these women all the time. Their life is hard , not simle,and made harder by the constant barter of their rights as an object. Even the basic rights that religion gave them are denied to them..

I agree with you that the role and position of mothers is well respected. Also in some respects women are more objectified and abused in the west. But truthfully we need to create more opportunity for education and careers for women too in Pakistan!
