well, no, Hundred Fists isn't haste in any form at all, what that does is reduce your base delay to 0 so your delay is just that of your weapons [e.g., 48 with Destroyers] although most believe it compleatly reduces delay 0 [weapon's aswell], it is still possible to drain HP with drain samba with hundred fists active so you must have some delay somewhere to do that, even if the delay is amazingly low
If it reduced Delay tho, that would be visable as Delay changes effect the TP formular, Haste doesn't.. if it reduced the base delay then you'd see it from getting less TP per hit...
its not reduced delay in that same sence.. it cant be haste because the figures dont add up if you wearing haste gear ontop of it aswell, and its possible to see that it has no effect on the weapon's delay [assuming you use a ffxicalculator to find out the time that the intervle would be at the certain delay, like 48 [destroyers] is only like 1/2 a second or something]
another possible thing is that it could be 100% haste for just the base H2H delay which would work out.
or, it could possibly be something like it ignores the base delay when its active but still has the delay calculated into the tp formulae. i honestly don't know which of them it is, but i know it has no effect on a weapon's delay [can still drain hp, haste still stacks but not as it should, haste effects each weapon differently, but again, not as if it was stacking with haste already there]
Tho in the discussion there it's still open... I suspect unless FFXI supply information, it's another one of those... we can't truly be ever certain cases...

Dual wield IV (@lv65)+ suppa and chainmail, which is 35% reduction in total delay. Before haste that's about 195 delay for needle + stinger. With a perdu + senju its about 271 delay. Its not as good, but you've got a balance for speed and power.
SE has always been careful to not overpower NINs, with not even an A+ skill for the only exclusive weapon type to a single job, no mercurial-type katana except for the mythic, and no real practical way to max haste gear-wise as opposed to MNKs.

Unfortunately 0 delay on H2H weapons doesn't mean no delay;; It's just no additional delay from a weapon. Since all H2H weapons are actually Delay:+X vs Delay:X from all other types of weapons. I hope I didn't confuse anyone.

That's cool and all, but it's not that effective. With 75% haste your katanas would swing almost as fast, yet actually deal some damage. There would only be around, what a 15ish delay difference between katanas and those daggers with that much haste? Not much really.

Guess I just 'whooshed' all over you.. My point was, even with katanas you would swing just SLIGHTLY slower, and yet be effective. The video would look almost exactly the same, except the nin would be swinging katanas. Only job that actually makes use of daggers is THF.

You should have switched your Byakko's Haidate and done shinobi earring and walahra at 20% health to have capped haste from gear (25%). Then you should have used three dual weild pieces not two... suppanomimi, NIN AF body and Koga Pants. Yes you're fast, but you're not swinging at the fastest possible speed you can be.

shinobi earring is useless the lateng effect is just on 25% or less hp....and the armor haste cap @ 25% so she got 23% (maximun i can think in now ) w/o that earring...so get red for a earring that hive haste + 20% when u just need 2 for cap is completely useless
i was hoping this mnk threw his vid on here. He had 25%+ haste from gear, was in a pt at alkyoneus with nin, brd, whm, and rng camping against rmt. rng saw ixtab on WS so they ran over to kill. mnk used gear macro and had brd 2hr march, whm haste, he 100fist and hit so fast it glitched the mob and he was stuck engaged with it for 5 mins AFTER it's hp was 0 and couldn't disengage. was a cool vid ^^
I've had the liberty to try this setup with a Hornetneedle/mercurial kris haste SV'd march x2 ect. same gear setup and whatnot and it attacks so quickly more than half of your attacks glitch so it looks like your character is actually attacking "slower" due to so many attacks not being shown. I'll upload the footage soon.

That's cool and all, but it's not that effective. With 75% haste your katanas would swing almost as fast, yet actually deal some damage. There would only be around, what a 15ish delay difference between katanas and those daggers with that much haste? Not much really.

Guess I just 'whooshed' all over you.. My point was, even with katanas you would swing just SLIGHTLY slower, and yet be effective. The video would look almost exactly the same, except the nin would be swinging katanas. Only job that actually makes use of daggers is THF.

Its to show how fast you can hit with such a setup. Even with katanas, its still pretty much nonstop (just at a more steady speed) with that setup.

im a 75NIN aswell.. i use... Velocious Belt, Byakko's Haidates, Walahra Turban, Suppanomimi, Dusk Gloves, Dusk Feetm Unji/Unsho... :) Imagine me w/o a brd / haste :P I still kick ass :P

Lyramion did it better (search on KI forums for ultimate speed setup).
You should have switched your Byakko's Haidate and done shinobi earring and walahra at 20% health to have capped haste from gear (25%). Then you should have used three dual weild pieces not two... suppanomimi, NIN AF body and Koga Pants. Yes you're fast, but you're not swinging at the fastest possible speed you can be.

Hey, i pick ffxi over any mmorpg, its personally my favorite and no one can make a rpg like SE >.> but did you know FFXI has 300-500 thousand players and WoW has 7mil+. =( ffxi at one time has jsut over a miliion players but that was long ago...
Hopefully the newe SE mmorpg project will blow all other competitors away

I do play it, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered posting a comment. And how did he imply that he was "against" FFXI? He only said that choosing speed over damage was an "idiot's game." I don't necessarily agree with that. But dagger damage does suck, and this NIN is dual-wielding daggers.

shinobi earring is useless the lateng effect is just on 25% or less hp....and the armor haste cap @ 25% so she got 23% (maximun i can think in now ) w/o that earring...so get red for a earring that hive haste + 20% when u just need 2 for cap is completely useless

i was hoping this mnk threw his vid on here. He had 25%+ haste from gear, was in a pt at alkyoneus with nin, brd, whm, and rng camping against rmt. rng saw ixtab on WS so they ran over to kill. mnk used gear macro and had brd 2hr march, whm haste, he 100fist and hit so fast it glitched the mob and he was stuck engaged with it for 5 mins AFTER it's hp was 0 and couldn't disengage. was a cool vid ^^

I've had the liberty to try this setup with a Hornetneedle/mercurial kris haste SV'd march x2 ect. same gear setup and whatnot and it attacks so quickly more than half of your attacks glitch so it looks like your character is actually attacking "slower" due to so many attacks not being shown. I'll upload the footage soon.
