@iroxsmelly with what? the trap? it's only made to tighten the snare around the bird's neck, it wouldn't even kill a chicken sized bird, it's just made so the snare stay tight and the bird can't get it off.

so your delusion of this trap being dangerous is flawed.

hey john jay, nice work! i know the guide used the little upright pins in the ground to hold down the rope circle. they were in the ground pointing up and outward at an angle. i think they held the circle open so when the bird is walking around near it, it stays spread out. you look like you've basically got it right on. you'll know you've succeeded once you can catch some dinner!

i think you just find a flexible branch and make a snare and a trigger that holds the snare to the ground. and the branch will fling back causing the snare to tighten
